As most of you are aware there has been a lot of problems concerning Xbox Live banning because players in BO decide to put the swastika as there emblem. Although this is a big problem as when many people see the emblem they understand the connection with history and the terrible atrosoties committed. This seems to be the biggest problem right now although I have seen other problems with the emblems. Today i jumped into a lobby and noticed that about 4 people all had emblems depicting the KKK white hood with the initials on the front. One even had a "No N*****" on it.
My question is do the people of the escapist think that Treyarch has gone a bit to far with the ability to customize the player card and should have had more of a bungie approach were players can only select from predetermined emblems and backgrounds?
P.S. Before any bigots try to bring the argument that "It was used before the Nazi's" please realize two things:
1. The color scheme that has most been seen in these emblems resembles that of the Nazi flag (i.e. red background encasing a white circle with the swastika in the middle.
2.Most of the symbols used for Buddhist or Hindu were made to spin right, a sort of universal view of good, and the light. When the Nazi party took the symbol the made it spin to the left, usually associated with evil, and the dark.
On a side note the Nazi party also tilted the symbol so that it was offset.
