black ops i need help

I have found out that black ops will have a mode called combat training. i have been visited so many sites but about everyone is saying something different. i need to know if you can play combat training offline with no xbox live at all to deal with it and how many friends can play on one xbox if you can. please i need help

Well I imagine it's some kind of mode which can hone your skills in the art of death-dealing, group-based sabotage and mutually unassured destruction.

Or maybe it's something else entirely, but the name seems pretty straightforward.

Its probably referring to the bots in offline multiplayer.

Why the hell they seem so scared to just call it "multiplayer bots for those without internet" is beyond me.

There is no reasonable argument to justify how stupid that is. If its true of course.

I imagine it's either bots or a fancy name for a tutorial. Or maybe some kind of speed run mode for multiplayer like the mission before the ship in the first Modern Warfare.

God I haven't played that in ages, think I'll pick that back up.

It could also have like a timer/score type thing with leader boards that could mean a connection is required, but thats just me taking a guess.
