Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and figured I'd post my Fallout Fan Film. The film itself is a prequel/promo for a full length Fallout Feature I'm planning to shoot this summer. The feature is still in pre-production as I'm still securing various abandoned locations and finalizing the script. Anyways, let me know what you think and any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Here you are. Quote this and you should see the links for them.
Oh, and although I haven't seen all of them, the starts rock. Seriously. There's real talent there.
Good luck and keep going!

wow not sure what you could improve. just wish that fallout 3/new vegar combat was that great^^
As long as it wont be permanently dark and you'll get some character development in there it looks great.
And the trailer has different scenery so... can't wait to see the result of your work.

I've only seen the trailer but I liked it.

The juxtaposition of the introduction of music with an increase in action and the landscapes. A couple of minor criticisms in my opinion a few to many close ups and I would have liked a bit more idea about the narrative from the voiceover but that is just my personal preference. Overall I'm impressed (for what its worth) I liked the feel of it for some strange reason it made me think of 'Bad Taste'(Jackson: 1987) but I have absolutely no idea why.

I'm fully aware that this might be beyond your skill, budget, and/or general capabilities. You need more retro-futurism. This is something that cannot be understated. You need more. One Pip-Boy in a trailer is a good tease but I think there are a lot more subtle thing to be done with it that would make it a lot better.

Again, I'm saying you might not be able to do it, but I think you could. It would just require a more delicate touch. As they stand now I can't really discern anything that makes it distinctly Fallout other then was you obviously put in there. Find guns, or try to give them, wooden stocks, find an old record player.

The great thing is it doesn't have to even look new. However an M40 rapid fire grenade launcher won't cut it. What makes or breaks Fallout is its aesthetic. Just keep that in mind.

Hey, thanks for the critique! I'll definitely take it into consideration and see if I can't bring that 50's vibe out some more. You definitely bring up a good point. In fact, in the prequel film I had originally planned to digitally composite in some old posters/logos on the walls. But it totally slipped my mind until now...

Anyways, thanks for the heads up and I'll see if I can't make it happen.

No problem. I actually kind of look forward to the finished product.

I'm not sure if this falls under promotion, which I think the forum guidelines don't allow, but I'll say that I liked the videos. Very nice indeed.
