Hello everyone, I would like to share with you guys something that I came through while surfing on the web recently...
You may or may not know that Blizzard is working on a new MMO.
Well, some people have been putting together a brand new community dedicated to this mysterious MMO.
As it seems they are already sharing up-to-date info, a comprehensive wiki , forums, gallery, and everything else a player interested in Titan could want.
So maybe you would like to check it out, it's www.TitanGuru.com.
A brief overview of the game according to these guys...
Blizzard's next MMO or Next-Gen MMO as referred by Blizzard, has been in the shadow for years, the first evidence of its existence was a job ad listing in Blizzard's site mid of 2007. Since then, through official sources here is what we know about Blizzard's top secret MMO:
It is internally named Titan.
It's not going to be a WoW expansion.
It will be based on a brand new IP (new story & lore).
Several people of the WoW team have joined Next Gen MMO's team.
This MMO targets to a broader audience than WoW.
Clues from job ads indicate that it will be a Science Fiction/Sci Fi MMO. In the past Kaplan, who revealed he is involved in the project, was asked if the game's genre would be science fiction, post-apocalyptic, or historical, and while laughing he responded: "all of those combined!"
So all these stuff seem interesting and I am really looking forward to the game. What do you think ? Sure it will have a LOT on the table to offer since Blizzard is known for epic games since always.

What happens when Blizzard reveals the game's actual title? They'll be stuck with a site that has a completely irrelevant name.

Yes I'm an asshole for saying it, but it could be an AoS (Aeon of Strife) or more commonly known as "DotA ripoff."

Not saying that it is, just saying it's possible.

There have been lots of rumours by Blizzard that they want to do something with facebook and Titan to link both things somehow. We can only wait and see how they go about it.

Sorry for the double post, it wasnt my intention, I got some kind of error and clicked post one more time. Please delete the other thread.

And about the whole name thing. Well I dont really know, that's their problem, I am only sharing that I found a very nice fansite about the game where I can talk to other fans of this new mysterious MMO.

A brand new community? As in people who have never played WoW getting together, or do they simply mean scraping together bits and pieces of the old community and going by different names?

OT: I've been wanting some kind of sci-fi MMO to get a break from all the magic and mayhem of fantasy, but the few years I played WoW turned me off from trusting Blizzard to keep to one story with anything past the first expansion. Or putting more money and manpower into an MMO if it should get insanely popular and need more people, such as GMs, to handle problems in a timely manner.

Even if I never play this "Titan" I hope the graphics are at least more up to date.

One of the problems with Blizzard and their insanely long development periods is the graphics indeed. They make a game for 5-6-7 years and when they release it the graphics are already old. So I hope this time around they change that. There have been some interviews with people from Blizzard saying how Titan is going to be "the next big thing". Let's see about that.

By brand new community I mean people interested in the whole Titan thing.

I am curious about this, too. I also don't want to play WoW 2. By the way the whole thing could be steampunkish. The guys over titanguru got some bits of info that Blizzard are researching the idea of making the setting on Earth and something about post-apocalypse. There are very interesting ideas and topics flying around.

I bet it's going to be a "The gods are aliens" possibly with the greek gods as central focus.

If Blizzard do that then they are totally out of ideas, lol. Actually there's an article over titanguru about all the games that Blizzard started making and could never finish. It's pretty interesting you might wanna check it out. I have a feeling they will be taking all the best ideas of all those games that didnt see the light of the world and will combine them in this new MMO.

I doubt Blizzard will be wasting their time on a Facebook game.
egg will be on your face when they unveil World of FaceCraft!,
where you fight the contacts in your facebook account
careful now, your grandmother has +4 of "ignoring me" and +1 of "I was in the war"

But against my family members I have +10 "Disappointment to our name" and +3 "Internet reviewer? What's that? (confusion debuff)" so although egg may be on face, victory will still be mine. After all, winning at video games is all that counts really.

AHAHAHAHAHA! Wow, Blizzard, would you like some more money? I know!

How 'bout a game in which you can increase your characters stats by sliding your (or your parents) credit/debit cards and paying money! We can have armor that gets stronger depending on how much power points (cash) you put into it!

Blech. I'm getting irritated at Blizzard.

Last thing we need is another cookie cutter MMO. Let me know when someone decides to actually do something different, then we'll talk.
