I was recently in my local video store picking up movies for a movie night. While looking for Highlander my eyes drifted upward to the Sony Bravia 1080P HD Television playing Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End on blue ray and I noticed something extremely troublesome...

Allow me to start though by saying that I have an HD television at home. 1080I but I do not have a Blu-ray player, which is why I'm attributing my problem to the Blu-Ray.

My problem was that is just looked...Fake. Besides being Crystal clear it seemed it just made the green screen stand out a lot more. I've never had this problem on my HD, or a SD television. Well not to this degree, rather. Sure it was noticeable from time to time but it wasn't as jarring as it was in this case. It looked really bad.

My question though is...Can someone tell me if all Blu-Ray's are like this? Or if they have experienced something similar with one of their movies?

I have the PS3 and Denon Blu-Ray player and I haven't experienced this. Maybe it is just Pirates 3? I haven't watched it on Blu-Ray so I couldn't tell you.

i'm going to have to blame the setup they had at the store

i've watched many a movie on blu-ray and never noticed that, all running at 1080p too

when in the store they screw with the display to give it a good output in the lighting that they have and that's not always the best idea cause it can look horrible

I'm thinking it might be the TV because the HD Sony that my family has, has this sort of motion enhancing option that does the same thing.
