Which books or sires of books do you think deserve a game, for me, it's a toss up between raymond e. feist's books (I know there are already some, but they deserve new ones.) or the night angel trilogy.

Terry pratchett's colour of magic!, you get to play as the Chest! :p
Have you noticed his constant poking fun at fantasy films and games? But... it would be ace to play as the chest.

Also... Captain Underpants! Simply because it's random.

Frankly, I wouldn't mind seeing a game based on the Wheel of Time books. I can even think of how it might be good.

...

Yes, I'm fully aware that there was a WoT game. No, it doesn't count.

I enjoy poking fun at the things i love, and pratchett's books are right up at the top, and captain underpants is awesome too, the boss battles would be immense!

I need to stop bringing up Skulduggery Pleasant in every book thread, but I haven't failed yet.
I think the different magic and combat could all go together into a good game. Only problem being it might be easy to work in escort missions. Ugh...

None, I can't think of any book that could be well translated to a game.

EDIT: Which is why Dante's Inferno will no doubt be a tremendous pile of tripe.

Maximum ride or the Seventh tower for actiony type games, or Artemis Fowl for a sort-of mystery action type game.

I would love to see Simon R. Green's Something From the Nightside series turned into a game, though I can't imagine how anyone would ever actually pull it off. Still, if they could, it'd be nothing short of amazing.

Dragonlance War of the Lance. Sure it has alreadhy failed as a a game countless times but that was during our technological dark ages. One more time and lets make it count.

The Nobel Dead saga (Dhampir et al). A slightly toned-down version of the Soul Reaver games with some rpg aspects (and a pet dog with a mysterious past)

The Twilight series, because I would get a huge kick out of fucking up the gameplay and getting Bella Swan violently slain.

-cough-

But to seriously answer the question, I think that Varjak Paw would be a good game. Nobody will know what the fuck I'm talking about (I've never met another person in my life who has read the book), but the downright creepy illustrations and somewhat haunting storyline could make for an interesting game as far as graphics and plot go. Also, the 'combat style' of the book as well as a few antagonists that could be boss-characters would help... somehow.

If that makes any sense at all.
