Boosting in MW2 - opinions?

Recently I've found that I can't enter into a FFA match on MW2 without there being some assholes sitting in a corner shooting each other in the face and cheating their way to Nukes.
Personally this really really f*cks me off - more often than not, I can do better than these guys by playing normally. It spoils the game for everyone else and generally makes me not want to play this game. My housemate says I'm overreacting and should just be thankful that these douches are giving me easy kills. If I ever find people doing it, I just complain instantly.

What do other people think about it?

You may just say 'don't bother playing FFA' but I've seen it in (M)TDM too, and even so, I shouldn't have to play a different mode because a load of assholes are cheating.

Infinity Ward have made a quality game, but there do seem to be holes in it - the human landmine glitch for starters, now the infinite ammo/no reload glitch has cropped up. I just hope they can find a way to get around people boosting.

It happens. Some people are cheap bastards who know they can't get a kill any other way.

Some people prefer not to do any work at all. Let them be cheap and just avoid them and find another match. In the end they will get there just desserts when they end up playing against people above there skill caliber.

Unfortunately this will happen in any online game. Random 14 year olds will find an exploit for free points or rank ups and cheat their way to the top. It's just the nature of online gaming.

What do I think of these cunts? Well, let's just say I believe boosting, be it to get nukes or just to rank up quicker, should be a ban-able offense. None of this sissy 'Warning/Suspension' crap either. 1 strike and you're out.

Yea.. My brother and his friends did it online recently.. (not on my account thank god) I didn't like it, but eh, once the novelty of nuking something wore off, they played the game like normal. So unless these guys keep doing it, it really should pass.

Also, it was funny, as my same brother got a nuke legitimately a game after he boosted.

Also, dude, once you kill the guy once they pretty much lose the nuke. (on TDM)

I also suggest you take a break, I'm hoping to comeback online in about a week and all the glitches are fixed. But I don't find camping too much of an issue in TDMs, only in objective based games.

If they camp and win, prehaps you should as well?

I just leave the game. I dont care about my wins/losses, so if there are some annoying idiots in the match, I just quit and find another one. Rinse and repeat.

Honestly, I agree 100% with this statement.

I, too, have decided to stay off Modern Warfare 2 for a while.

I no longer have to endanger my controller from being thrown against the wall =)

I don't really know why, but I actually like playing on 3rd person Team Tactical, which is why it pisses me off that it is almost impossible to find a regular match because every time I choose that playlist, it's always a glitched private match with 18 players playing free-for-all on rust boosting their rank.

There's also that one glitch that gives you infinite ammo and no reloading on any gun, including grenade launchers, but I've used that glitch several times so I can't really talk.
