Boots + Skirt

So, my mom and I were having an argument the other day about whether or not it's "ok" to wear boots with a skirt. She thinks that you should only wear sandals with a skirt and I said that it's ok to wear boots; a lot of girls do it.

I know a most of you on here are guys, so that made me curious. What do you guys think of the look of a girl wearing boots with a skirt?
Obviously, girls' input is welcome too.

My wife's staple item of footwear with a skirt is boots, so I'll side with you. Plus, tall boots plus short skirt = damn sexy.

I think it looks fashionable, so why shouldn't they do it?
It is understandable that normally boots are for cold weather and skirts are for warm weather but I think it looks pretty good together.

I think boots are very sexy, especially with a skirt. I think they're pretty cute with stockings or high socks too.

As long as they're not those stupid Ugg things girls seem intent on wearing, they're usually always sexy.

I think it looks fine. Skirts a good. Boots are good. It only makes sense that they would probably look good together.

Its clumsy from the canonic fashion point of view, but same time its just something that said fashion has to live with ever since the 70ties, when punks figured their anti dress-code.

Personally i loves it, especially along with newrock styled boots, but im a wierd child of post-punk and industrial/ebm, my fashion sense is rather strongly skewed, often involving mix of steam-punk and cyber-wear when im out to conquer the world.
Somtimes even trying to smuggle some things into my work atterie.

Depends on both the skirt and the boot really. Long flowing skirts and skidoo boots are not the best combo, but a shorter skirt with some combat boots is a winner in my eyes.
