So what do you people prefer? Hard alcohol? Wine? Beer? If beer, what kind? The imported stuff you can only find at certain retailers (Bev-Mo for example), or the cheap sidewalk slammers like 211, High Gravity, Pabst, etc.?

I personally prefer beer, and I personally prefer the cheap, harder beer that will mess me up for my money's worth. The above referenced 211 comes to mind.

I'm 18, so I drink whatever I can get my hands on. Mixing vodka with Gatoraid is a big thing around here. That Baileys Irish Cream stuff is awesome as shit, and as far as beer goes, I like Heineken-- though I'm certainly not a connoisseur.

I prefer mixed drinks. If your local bartender knows how to do a dirty bongwater it's well worth a try. I drink beer socially, but if I'm looking to get F'd up you just mix Gin with Orange juice or 7up/sprite/pepsi/cherry coke and you're good. Vodka or SoCo mixed with soda works too.
Also, throw a bag of Jolly Ranchers in a blender, mix with Vodka and ice = awesome.

Mixing Gin and Ginger Ale in the right proportions results in a drink that tastes just like mountain dew. Well, depending on how much ginger ale you use. The more Ginger Ale, the more it will taste like dew.

Minute Maid Tropical Punch masks Vodka better than anything else I've ever tried. Seriously its like freaking magic.

I mix just about anything (except 'aftershock' and 'sambuka'). I like rum a lot (flavored rum mixed with a complimenting flavor drink or mixer is always a treat (Like Banana Rum and Cream soda, or Vanilla Rum and Coke))...

I also like mixing Mad Dog 20/20 with its appropriately matched flavor of kool-aid but one can still drink that stuff without mixing it.

But if you wanted to ask "a" favorite or "if there was only one left, what would it be", I suppose I'd go for a good Captain Morgan's private stash...

Hmmm... Favorite? I'd say regular old Budweiser. If I only had one drink left? Probably a whiskey and coke made with Knob Creek. Its 100 proof, or 50% alcohol by volume, so it'll get the job done.

I'm still recovering from a big night out a few days ago so even thinking about any alcohol makes me wretch, my preferences do go spirits-red wine-white wine-cider(if you're American you'll probably know it as hard cider)-ale-lager

my overall favorite drink has to be Absinthe really expensive and illegal in a lot of places but it gives me the allusion I'm a 20th century bohemian in Paris. and since you asked my beer preference is Carlsberg for lager.

Gin, people. It's the way forward, I swear.

Living in York, with a seriously good pub to person ratio, means you get all sorts of fun stuff. If gin's off the menu, it's got to be Deuchars or something Wychwoody. Old Peculier (no typo) might also be familiar to some of the local forumites.

So, yeah, gin or nice beer. Carlsberg makes me gag. Quite the New-Age man.

Yay Wychwood beer! I've still got a Hobgoblin t-shirt sitting around my flat somewhere. Usually I drink Bourbon and coke now, because Lidl's does a pretty great Bourbon that costs half the price of JD. Aside from that, I'll drink anything apart from... No, actually I'll drink anything :D

im all for any good wine, But i got to say i love IPA (Indian Pale Ale) its filled to the brim with hops(hopes? iono dont pay much attention to spelling) and you feel in the back of your throught.

On the same note what is the worse alcohol youve had. I absolutly abhor bluemoon beer, its light colored, you cant see though it, you taste it at the tip of you tounge and it has the after taste of soem veggi (i think carrots but my cousin says celery)

Old Peculier is delicious, and just to mix English beer with Southern U.S. soul food by way of a Pacific Northwest food geek, I will say it goes amazingly well with biscuits and gravy [http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,1627,152168-251203,00.html].

there's tons of alcohol that i like. If I'm drinking a beer and not trying to get drunk, i like a Sam Adams Boston lager, a Rouge Hazelnut Nectar, a Bluemoon Honeymoon, or a Guinness. Sure there's tons more that i'd enjoy, but seeing as how I'm 18 i haven't had opportunity to try too terribly much. If I'm getting drunk... a case of Coors tall boys, some rum, or Tequila Shots.

Gotta love a good bit of JD and coke, drink of the gods. Also Jaeger,Absinthe and apple sour shots are very nice.

Man, I wish Absinthe were sold in the United States. Oh well, I suppose a good Bicardi and diet coke will suffice.

The wine I made. I found the recipe online and, since I am also underage, but an avid drinker, I was trying to find a way to keep a steady supply of booze instead of having to ask my friend's uncle or a hobo to buy booze for me. So anyway, I looked up how to make some wine, and I followed the recipe and two weeks later I had "wine". I gave quotes because it smelled like wine, but tasted like fucking tequila! Its never good when your wine tastes like tequila. Anyway, my buddy and I start drinking it, and then our eyes started itching! Everybody had told me if I drank it I was gonna go blind, and now that my eyes were itching, I promptly decided to dump the shit and spend the rest of the night crossing my fingers hoping I wasn't going to go blind.

Yeah, thats the worst booze I ever drank. But hey, at least it was free and I learned a good lesson from the experience!
