Bored of dwalves / elves / mages / ogres? What type of race would you like to see more of?

I tend to sigh when I see the traditional races of lore in games like Dragon Age or new games, I appreciate them and understand they tend to come as part of the package, but I'd like to see more of other races.

So based on the games you've played, if a race were to become popular and feature in more games, which race would it be? Would you like to see the covenant from Halo feature in Mass Effect for example, or how about some of those Final Fantasy races?

Kudos to Elder Scrolls for having its own races instead of following the tradition.

There needs to be a few more lizard folk in RPGs. I mean, we have shapeshifters, we have dragons, but we don't have the two combined.

The races from Final Fantasy XI. Yeah, the game has elves, but they're so far from the "woodland fairy" cliche that they're pretty much a race of their own.

Did you play Legend of the Dragoon? Because I agree with you, Dragoons are bloody awesome. But, the more common term for half-dragons half-humans are Draconians, fyi.

They dobn't have their own races. Look at the names and appearances. It's very similar. What is different is the Lore, but that's because their writing staff is competent.

I'll go with a real Ogre, A Cyclops. Where do you have that lovable bastard from the Greek Mythology appear as a seperate playable race?
They are not stupid (Not all of them).
