After capitulating the Gaming Discussion forum to the bots in the name of the peace, bots have shown their greed knows no limits and broke into the Gaming Industry Discussion, starting a tentative assault with their cheap love advertisement. Is the Escapist better prepared this time? Or the bots will take over another forum and transform it into a wasteland of per-minute numbers?

Going to this forum was a bandaid solution anyway. It was only a matter of time before the people behind the bots realised what's going on and moved to gaming industry discussion.

A mod did say they would implement new countermeasures this week. Let's hope they work.

I don't really get the end game of those bots. Do the ones posting them here really think Gamers care about black magic cures or shady marriage council.

I say enough is enough. We can't continue to have an open influx of users with such a damaging and opposing agenda.
We need to vet newcomers and make them aware of how things are done in these parts.

A firewall and proper vetting before they can partake of our gaming site is paramount.
Otherwise this site shall crumble from the inside and all will be lost.
Not even the mods can stand against this torrent by themselves. They need help from the managers.
The original users are really getting fed up with the chaos that has ensued and stand behind the mods.

At least identify from where they originate and instigate a TCP/IP ban.

A slight tongue-in-cheek write-up, but the similarity is like this sentence; Written in Bold.
With that said though. I do not compare bots with people, only the situation.
