Seriously, what is the world coming too. Guy kills his brother simply for turing on / playing his PS3. Its tragic, but at least they didnt blame it on the fact he plays games.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with killing his brother in a fight over a PlayStation, Chilean Police said.

Police said the younger boy was angered when his 18-year-old brother turned on the game console without his permission. He then grabbed a knife and stabbed him. Police said the youth told them that "things got out of control".

The teenager could face five years in prison.

Homicide investigator Gilberto Opazo said the brothers had been abandoned by their mother and spent 10 years as wards of the state before a Belgian woman named Valerie Michael took them in. She was visiting Belgium when the killing happened.

I'd kill him, too. Touching my shit...
I kid, I kid.
Kid deserves to go to jail for as long as possible. If he's gonna murder his brother for turning on his console, he's not right in the head. He's only gonna murder more people...

What did the older brother find his porn or something on the PS3? Otherwise this kid should be under mental health care.

(To all those peeved about this comment, I was being sarcastic. I thought people would take it as a simple joke, I suppose not)

Really? Who kills their own brother over a device, in fact who kills their own brother regardless. Hes your brother for god's sake. they should be nice together not fighting each other over meaningless things. Now one of them is dead. I hope that kid regrets what he did for the rest of his life.

Sorry, its just things like this really REALLY piss me off.

wow ... my brother plays with my 360 from time to time ... mainly if he and some of his buddies are over and they are lan partying Halo or some BS ... but even though the smack talk gets annoying I wouldn't kill him over it! I would hit him though.

it probably was a bunch of other shit culminating in the homicide.
Hopefully, otherwise that kid is fucked up.
Yeah, this. Actually, the kid is probably fucked up either way. Short of having to do so in self defence, I daresay that normal kids wouldn't kill their siblings for any reason. But what do I know, being an only child. Well, kind of an only child (I have several half siblings that I've never met, not sure how to classify those).

I.....uh.....wow. Really?

That's messed up. It's a game system, something that can be replaced.

I feel sorry for the older brother. He didn't deserve this.

Five years? What a fucking joke. How about 20?
That was my initial thought too.

If you kill someone over something as small and trifle as this, i really hope there was some kind of culmination up to it. Otherwise... there is something seriously wrong with you.

"Homicide investigator Gilberto Opazo said the brothers had been abandoned by their mother and spent 10 years as wards of the state"

Unfortunately that seems to have messed him up. 5 years including some kind of rehabilitation for a large chunk of his life should do it.

What is the point of these threads? Going, 'Oh, how horrific, some people are really messed up' seems like the only acceptable course of action, with maybe the odd joke thrown in. Sorry to rant, but there are just so many of these.

Poor kids. They were really messed up.

He needs serious help. I don't think prison is the right place for him.
