Shatter your stereotype! Write something that is a common stereotype for someone such as yourself (i.e, your career, gender, enjoyed hobbies) and then destroy it with truth! For example, I'm an English Major, but I can't stand Shakespeare, plays or a majority of the classics.

What about you, what stereotype do you break?

I'm fat! and I don't eat more...wait I guess I do eat more than I should otherwise I'd be thin, erm.

I'm a smoker and...no pretty much all the bad stereotypes regarding smokers are true too.

I'm English, yet I do not care for the Royal Family, Tea (crumpets are nice though) nor do I speak in a manner normally reserved for the upper classes or hollywood villains! And no I do not know a guy you met once from a town which is several hundred miles away from my own, to think I would is just sillyness.

I am a Christian and right-wing, but I support pro-choice, gay marriage, and legalization of marijuana (I'm a Libertarian and a Minarchist, you see, so I don't think anyone should be forced to do/not do something just because the government thinks it is right/wrong. Just because I don't see eye-to-eye with some things doesn't mean I have the right to tell people to do exactly as I do. Plus, I think I need to smoke some weed right now.).

I enjoy violent video games, cartoons, and movies and much of my favourite music contains really harsh language and "mature themes". I have no desire to go on a rampage; I hate violence in real life.

I live in a dorm at college. I don't drink, smoke, party hard, sleep around, or belong to a fraternity.

I'm a straight male who likes talking about emotions, feelings, likes chick flicks, loves romance, asexual and hates sports.

I recently turned 21.
To celebrate, three friends and I got together to play board games.
We also drank apple juice in cheap wine glasses.

I'm Russian, yet i don't drink anything alcohol, and i think i never ever will. My drug is awesomeness.
I'm a teenager, but i'd rather engage in intellectual debate than go and rob random passer-bys.
I'm an "artsy" type of guy, but i consider engineers and mechanics greater than myself.
I'm pretty smart - but i'm not a nihilistic tosser. I like this world and believe it can be fixed.

How do you like that, huh? HUH?!

I fulfill all the male stereotypes, other than the fact I haven't had sex for like 2 months. That weighs heavily upon me. I know people say there is more to life than sex, but they are liars. :p

I break the typical male stereotype in that I get very overwrought over my emotions. I'm very prone to crying. If its a sad film, or if I'm discussing personal issues with a close friend, it will nearly always result in me crying.

I like crying though. It's an emotional release, and I feel cleansed after I've had a good cry.

This too. I'll probably be voting Lib. Dems. in the next elections (for want of a better choice) but I fucking hate hippies. The 60's are over mate, get a fucking grip.

I'm not twelve years old. -.-

That's not going to make any sense, but I still feel better by putting it out there.

EGAD! It cannot be so, begone, return to your dolls and makeup!

On a more serious note, something that bothers me is how all my female friends think that I'm socially retarded because I don't binge drink every second weekend, and even weirder, they think I'm batshit insane for not trying to have sex with every girl I find attractive. Every time they hang out with me for a while, they start to try to give me tips on how to please a girl... it's more then a little embarrassing.

I am slightly hemophobic. Bioshock unnerved me when I saw bright puddles of blood in the surgery area and when I shotgunned an inanimate plaster statue in a dark bathroom to see if it would shatter.
Do you only get scared of virtual blood? I ask because I have a little brother who freaks out whenever he witnesses someone bleeding in real life, but he has no problem with gunning down civilians in the No Russian level of MW2 (a scene which contains quite a fair amount of virtual blood).

I am slightly hemophobic. Bioshock unnerved me when I saw bright puddles of blood in the surgery area and when I shotgunned an inanimate plaster statue in a dark bathroom to see if it would shatter. I don't like people who curse every other sentence to sound cool. I don't like how my brother regularly passes gas or burps loudly. I like cute things. I want a little dog so I can play with it and hug it. I am a pretty quiet guy in real life and I mostly keep to myself. I look kinda young for my age and have horrible self-esteem.

A few weeks ago, 3 guys thought it would be fun to try to hold me up and take what was in my pockets, only they weren't armed and didn't actually make any serious moves against me (they thought I was a kid. I'm 20 and they were probably 17). I actually wished that they would do something so I could pound their faces in. I don't like throwing the first punch. I hate leaving trash on the streets.
