We all have things we love taken away from us. So what is your favourite dead franchise that you'd love to see revived? It can be films, games TV, anything. Even foods. I'd like to see Wispas brought back PERMANENTLY not just for some shoddy marketing thing.
Other things include Firefly, although the movie Serenity pretty much killed off any chance of that due to certain characters meeting their ends, and Futurama in proper TV form. The films are good and all, but they're no Farnsworth Parabox.

What, Serenity killed Firefly?

No, they could do plenty more with the series and just say the movie happens later.

So yes, Firefly and Futurama. Two of Fox's best shows ever and they cancel them after one season, idiots. And worse, they continue to show season after season of these moronic reality shows. Seriously, what the Hell is their problem?

I want a next-gen Mechwarrior 5 with a focus on the Inner Sphere invasion of the Clan Worlds.

Justice League Unlimited. Great series, I'd love to see more of it.

Also, those little koala shaped cookies with the chocolate creme in the center. Haven't seen them in years, although I guess that doesn't mean they've been discontinued...

M.E.G.A.S XLR neends to come back.

Oh and for the Brits among us, SM:TV Live anyone?

What I meant by that was that because of the fates of a couple of characters in the film, a comeback for Firefly would be hard. Should have really made that clearer, sorry folks.

It wasn't that much of a franchise, but I really liked point pleasant, despite it being too much of a soap opera from time to time. It had a nice plot, the characters were nice and good and evil didn't really seem to exist.

Also, I'd love to see warcraft 4, but WoW (though I have enjoyed that game) killed any chance on them doing that I'm afraid.

There are probably some very obvious ones, but I can't think of any others (that haven't been said yet, I love firefly).

EDIT:

M.E.G.A.S XLR neends to come back.
Only if they gave it a better intro tune. It (especially the dutch version) was horrible.

I knew that, I said they could easily continue Firefly and say Serenity happens later.

In fact the only potential problem is that the romance between Simon and Kaylee would need to be held back somehow. And no Inara, but she was only important in the episode with the Laciter. Maybe Shepherd Book's backstory.

The point is we have no idea how much time passed between the show and the movie so squeezing more episodes in between would be quite easy.

Two TV shows for me. Both axed to make way for crap like Charmed (imo) even though that god awful show had about 10 seasons anyway.

Brimstone - Only got a run of 13 episodes :(

And I'm sorry to be THAT guy but,

Angel - Seriously, it was much better than Buffy and it had evolved into something awesome with more potential than when it started. Could have done with another season or two if you ask me. Even if they went with the 6x90 minute movie lenth "episodes", similar to Futurama's outcome.

Thankfully they continued Futurama, if not that'd would have been my top choice! :D

EDIT: I have gone on before about it, but I'd also like them to finish off the Final Fantasy Unlimited story in anime format, not just Japanese ONLY manga and radio style shows.

Seconded.
TIE Fighter games continued, or at least one freaking sequel or something... that was actually GOOD too.
Tribes.
Oh and Sacrifice, yes, more please.
And Jedi Knight: Academy, ok so it was a bit of a shoestring budget, but they really did something ACCEPTABLE with the star wars licence... and now I've realised that I've mentioned two star wars related games... ugh... goes to the toilet and starts cutting himself...

Well angel has continued just in comic book form, as has buffy.....its a sad fact that reality shows are much cheaper to make then half decent drama shows are, plus you cant have phone voting on them so no extra revenue for the tv companies.

I do like what they are doing with stargate and stargate atlantis which is shifting them over to TV films sure you dont get an episode every week but its better then it disappearing all togeather.

Okay, I gotta admit, it's not as bad as the dutch version. It would have been awesome, if not for the annoying 'singer' and his crappy lines. Now it's moderate at best.

I haven't seen the entire four seasons (hell, not even one whole of them, just random episodes), but what I've seen of it, it was really nice. My only problem with it was that it didn't have a storyline (at least, from what I've seen, feel free to slap me in the face with a dead fish if there was).

MTV animation. Daria, Bevis and Butt head, The Maxx, Aeon Flux etc. They used to make some great stuff on MTV but what do you know it's all cheap reality shows now... Oh and they did Down town, which was by the guys who did Megas XLR, a couple of characters do bit parts in it, and it's why the POP TV channel is consistently getting blown up due to the fact that MTV pulled out of a second series I think.

**Slaps you in face with a dead mackerel**

Indeed. There were 5 seasons in total and it had a storyline. The first season had story arcs but it was settling down from the initial transition. Buffy was in a couple of episodes in S1 but nothing drastic really.

From season 2 onwards I feel they developed their own stories and explored the characters (old and new) in some very interesting ways. Season 3 kicked off big time with plenty of shock moments and nice twists. Season 4 was a little different. There weren't really any stand alone episodes, it just continued from the previous one (like Season 7 of Buffy) all the way to the end whilst evolving the story arcs into a single episode that was a great cliff hanger.

The final season tried to tie some things up but left some things alone in the process. It wasn't bad because of this, it's just like it was one big tease into 'something bigger is coming' and then they ended it, RIGHT before an apocalyptic battle. To me, continuing on from the end of the 5th season would suit a very frantic opening scene of a film.

Reboot, Beast Wars: Hell, anything made by Mainframe was just pure awesome. If you watched Beast Wars as a child, you know what I'm talking about.

Really? I've always thought it had the same semi-plot stuff as buffy, which basically meant that they worked their way towards the season's evil boss. Oh well, even the best are sometimes plain wrong, I guess.

Well, sometimes they'd make it look like that, then throw you off completely (in a good way) and have something bigger/more urgent rear it's ugly head. Or they'd defeat 'the boss' earlier than a Buffy episode guide would predict, and move on from there.

But personally, I'd say if you liked Buffy and you're a guy (or a girl if you dig David Boreanaz) then you'll probably like Angel. Like I said, season 1's mentality is similar to that of typical Buffy episodes, but it gets darker, much darker (sorry, cliche to say I know) and wasn't as whiney as Buffy. Also, it certainly didn't have Dawn in there to spend 40 minutes per episode screaming, so that's a bonus.
