OK then, I'm watching the show, live final, right now through the ITV website in a seperate tab. Who else has watched this show this year? Who do you think should win? Anyone else watching the final now?

Flawless were the first act tonight and definitely lived up to their name. What do you guys think? Your views, here!

Flawless were pretty good, however that 12 year old kid is really good too.

I don't watch those shows because the contestants usually have no talent and do not deserve their 5 minutes of fame.

But I hear that Susan Boyle girl was good.
If you watch the show then you'd see the acts that get through to the final usually are very talented, although I'll admit the judges do bring a few turkeys into the semis in lieu of decent talent. I mean, I can think of a fair few acts I wanted in the semis who were much better than the likes of Nick Hell, Darth Jackson, and so on. That said, I kind of wish there could be more than one winner, why can't all ten finalists be in the Royal Variety performance? They've already proved their talent up until now :D

You missed out, there was a fair bit of drama last night. Hollie Steel, the ballerina and singer from the auditions, she made a slight mistake in the semi-final and had a nervous breakdown on stage. The producers said she couldn't start again because there wasn't time, but the judges comforted her and Simon twisted the arm of the producers during the break to give her a second chance. She managed to get through in second place when the judges unanimously voted her in the results part :)

I've only watched certain parts of it on youtube but I got to say, every single entry was a lot more talented than anything tossed at us over here on our version of the show.

any one seen Gregg lately lol

pretty sure that Susan will win any way
I don't know about that, there've been some pretty good people through this year aside from Susan. There's just all the hype because Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher are fans of her. However, I think this year it'll be a much closer contest than last year or the year before. Definitely going to be too close to call now.

damn that kid and the multiple screens, getting old real fast lol
Well, he did only get through in last night's semis, so he wouldn't have time to choreograph anything new. George Sampson used the same act in last year's finals as he did in the semis and still won, so I suppose he still has a decent chance :)

Im watching BGT now and 2 Grand is on. The olderman singing a whole new world is kinda creepy. The girl has an amazing voice but the grandad is holding her back in my opinion.

I don't agree there. True, the grandad, John, doesn't have the best voice in the world, but the two of them obviously love each other and sing well together. He's by no means holding her back. She has the most amazing voice though, definitely. It sounds cruel but given the grandad's age he doesn't have the time for a career, so if they were to take this further, win or lose, he wouldn't be able to support her for long as a singing duet. However, she doesn't need the support, the girl (Sally) has such a beautiful voice she'll end up being a big star in the next few years. I gurantee it. Simon will definitely want to sign her to his record label, bet on that.

Hollie Steel, the one who broke down on stage yesterday, just performed now. After hearing it, I have to say, one of two things will happen. Either Simon Cowell will sign her to his record label, or Andrew Lloyd Webber will wait ten years then give her a part in one of his musicals. That should tell you how good it was :D

EDIT: Sorry for the double post...

I didn't like her performance at all. I didn't see her breakdown last night, and the show happened to be on in the house tonight, but I thought it was pretentious, and I hate the way she got through despite her little cryathon, which probably shows you what I think of these children going through on their own.

Anyway, we all think she's a pretentious little brat on this side of the screen.
Well, everyone's entitled to their own opinion, as the guy from Diversity said, and as I always say. However, I thought it was a pretty damn good performance, and as Simon said, if the kids have talent then why should we deny them the chance to show it and to take part? After all, kids watch this show, and kids watch the Royal Variety Performance, why not let the kids take part themselves if they have the courage and the talent to do so?

Anyway, it's definitely going to be too close to call this year, but if I had to pick an act to win, then right at the end I'd say it's between Diversity, Susan Boyle and 2 Grand. They're my personal favourites, at any rate. But as I say, it's definitely too close for comfort this time :)

Thankfully, they named the show Britain's Got Talent rather than England's Got Talent. We English have too much decorum and taste to disport ourselves in such an uncomely manner.
