You know, I was looking for this strip the other week. It's one of my favourites.
Pretty clear how far you've come when you hit first and compare the art. It's crisper, nicer and overall more pleasant to behold.

In response to the reminiscing of evolving illustration style and character design, I can't help but recall that Erin's hair has changed dramatically over the past 200 strips. Her sideburns, in particular, used to be not straight. They weren't curly, but angled, like her hair was solid iron and someone had put a pair of bends into it to form a Z-shape. I do realize that her current style is more realistic (beard not withstanding), but I kinda liked her old hair. Makes you wonder how much hair glue it took to do that every morning.
This was the comic that made me fall in love with this strip way back when.
It's in the announcement post of Critical Miss winning the escapist comic contest as I recall. Which, now that I look for it, appears to not actually contain the comics they entered now for some reason. It was almost exactly like this, but with a less refined art style and I don't think Suchong was a character back then.Tharwen said:
