And by "Avenger Squad" I mean a 4 man squad you would want to go off and fight some unimaginable peril and save the day. The list of recruits consists of any and all videogame characters ("rehabilitated" villains included) that you can think of. Just to keep things mixed up, only 1 character per series (so you can't say Shepard, Legion, Garrus, and Tali, for instance).

That said, here's what my Avenger Squad would look like:

Commander Shepard would be my team leader because SHE'S a badass and capable of making tough decisions.

Master Chief would be the primary muscle because he's Master Frickin' Chief.

Zero from Mega Man X 4 would be my Melee Specialist.

And Duke Nukem would handle all the childish, immature one-liners! :3

Kratos, for melee, and basically killing everything.

Garrus, for long-range, and because he's my bro.

Minecraft Steve, for financing our team, because he stumbles across precious metals all the time.

And some random female character with massive breasts, probably from a Japanese RPG, so that it's not a total sausagefest.

:p Fair enough, always gotta have at least one member of the fairer sex on board. That's why I went with FemShep.

Daniel Vinyard from Exit Fate: Aside from Shepard (too obvious) maybe the best leader I've seen in a video game.

Guan Yu from Dynasty Warriors: A man who was sometimes called The God of War.

Eddie Riggs from Brutal Legend: because Jack Black is in everything.

Rick Taylor from Splatterhouse: Muscle and also every team eventually has a mole and the Terror Mask can fill that slot easily.

:p I was considering putting one of the Dynasty Warriors in there for my melee specialist. Can't be Lu Bu because he'd turn traitor. Think I'd go with Zhou Tai so long as he's using his katana...ESPECIALLY if it's his moveset from Warriors Orochi 3 (which I'm guessing is also his moveset from DW 7)

Darth Revan for insane strategic abilities, as the team leader. He is also an awesome all rounder with his dual lightsabers and force ablities.

Gordon Freeman as the science specialist. He is also a great all rounder and a dab hand with the crossbow for long range encounters. He has also fought evil interdimensional empires with only a crowbar. If he can't be there, I'll have Mordin, because someone else might have gotten it wrong.

Batman. He is the teams stealth specialist, and also forensic expert who can track down leads and stuff. Being the head of a massive company he will fund everything. He can also beat down people like Superman and Darkseid.

For the fourth spot it's contested. Either Urdnot Wrex for awesome melee and biotic abilties (him and Revan would throw down awesomely) or Garrus Vakarian for fire support and awesome sniper abilities.

Basically my team is going to be full of people flinging shit around.

1. Dante. Because it's Dante.
2. Morrigan from DA:O. Because she has Claudia Blacks voice.
3. Cass from Fallout New Vegas. Just because she makes me giggle.
4. Fawkes from Fallout 3. Just because you can't go wrong with a big fracking Supermutant that carries a chaingun.

It's pretty much the same moveset in both. Far as I remember he was the only guy in DW7 that defaulted to the katana.

Well the katana had been his weapon for forever and a day up until DW6 when they gave him some lame sword.

But yeah, his moveset is almost the same as it was in the earlier ones, but more like some of the charge attacks have been modified....for the better!

Solid Snake would be my stealth specialist and tech expert (does he have Otacon support? Probably) who can, if necessary, handle himself in a firefight.

Urdnot Wrex would take the role of the tank. And because biotics are going to he useful.

The Big Daddy will be my melee specialist. (Now that I think about it, a big daddy suit would make for a fine krogan armor...)

And Phoenix Wright, with the damage the above three will undoubtedly inflict, a good lawyer will come in handy. And he will he useful in peaceful solutions as a negotionator as well. And he can even fight, as proven in Capcom vs Marvel.

Team Leader - The lead of the Third Street Saints of course. He has the money, the power, the dashing good looks. Sure he's borderline psychotic and something of a sociopath, but he's British and handy with guns and most vehicles. (Saints Row)

Covert Ops - Who else but Big Boss. Not only is he badass in both close quarters and ranged, but he also knows how to get shit done and get it done without getting caught. Not to mention he's a snappy dresser. (Metal Gear)

Sniper Extraordinaire - I'm giving this to Marina Wulfstan, because what's a crimefighting team without a bit of gender equality. Plus she's a good sniper and that's exactly what this crackpot team needs, a lone-wolf with a pollen allergy and a high powered rifle. (Valkyria Chronicles)

Bio-Bruiser - This one goes straight to Alex Mercer. The other guys have got every day situations covered, but for that extra special, paranormal enemy they'll either need the support or threat reduction. Plus he's always handy for helping Big Boss with recon. (Prototype)

Yes the team is dysfunctional as hell and they're all ranging in both abilities and the scale of the worlds they're from, but I'd just like to see how they'd perform.

Rachel Shepard: Mass Effect (As the grounded leading straight ?man? Captain America Roll)

Sub-Zero: MK (The noble outsider)

Sonic The Hedge Hog (Drunk, tired arrogant jaded cynical reluctant antihero type character. It would rock and you know it!)

Fwank: Loaded (guy in my Avatar)>> (The off his rocker extreme loos canon that leaves you wondering why he is even there because he just ripped a guy in two and made a dog out of his intestines)

Gabriel Logan: Syphon Filter (ummm the awesome loan wolf guy of the group)

Oh and as the occasional returning member
The Nemesis

And they would all be teaming up to defeat the evil Dr Tongue!
*Crickets*...
You know, Zombies ate my neighbors? Evil doctor you see a for a few seconds before he drinks a potion and turns into a giant spider?
The cause of all the zombies, blobs and giant babies?
Tell me it wouldn't be awesome to have a game with a roster like this going up against all of that.
You know what I think I?m going to have to do a drawing of this now.

Batman, because he's the goddamn Batman.
Leon Kennedy, because he's fucking Leon.
The Doctor, because he's got a way out of everything.
Brock Sampson, because he's Brock "Motherfucking" Sampson.

My team is so OP.

EDIT: I missed the video game only part... Well, I'm counting Batman and the Doctor, because they both have games about them. Unfortunately, as far as I know, there is no Venture Bros. game, so...

Gambit, because he's my favorite comic book character, and he's been in some games, therefore, he counts in my opinion!

Second EDIT: Wow, for all of the bashing so many people on this website give Halo, I'm seeing a lot of Master Chiefs, and even one for the Arbitor. Warms my heart.

Master Chief (Captain) - For the all round-do anything legend.

Chell from the Portal series - Let's face it who wouldn't want a problem solving, portal making teammate.

Roland from Borderlands - For tanking and some serious dps.

The Team Fortress 2 Sniper - For picking off targets before they even see you.

Ooo it's one of these threads. Honestly I prefer an abundance of these ones over ME3 ending threads. Anyhow, here is my Avengers Space Marine team!

The Obligatory Adeptus Astartes: Captain Titus from Space Marine. He defeated a daemon prince, rather hilariously, and an Ork Warboss. Not to mention help stop an Ork invasion of millions and a Chaos one too. He can wield any weapon, because it's a game so fuck the canon!, so we'll be sweet. If all else fails, he can be our meat-shield since he is massive. I'd give him a Bolt Pistol, Melta Gun, Bolter, Lascannon and Power Sword.

The Guy Who Went to Hell and back...twice!: The Doom Guy from Doom. It's right in the title really. He's a bad ************ and hell is his *****. He can have his fists and that's all he'd need. With a help from a certain power-up...

The Lucky Guy: I'm talking about the Space Marine that makes his own luck. Master Chief! He's softer, worse, slower, weaker than the Astartes but goddamn it can he stop alien invasions. I give him a Sniper Rifle and Rocket Launcher. Power weapons for the win!

The Troubled Protagonist: The guy who may or may not have banged the Queen of Blades, he's faced the zerg and protoss threat and barely made it out. Unlike the guys up there, he's not abnormally powerful and the only armour worth mentioning is his plot-armour! He's the believable one. He's Jim Raynor from Starcraft.
