Hey escapists

This afternoon my TV busted itself and now whenever I turn it on the power button flashes and the TV doesn't turn on. I really have no idea what to do and it's very badly timed because I'm buying Assassins Creed: Revelations tomorrow morning and I don't want to have to move either my TV or Xbox. Its an old Konka CRT TV and I've had it for a few years now.

Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?

You're worried about a CRT TV? Seriously its probably time to throw it out besides there will be some second hand/junk stores selling them for next to nothing since the technology has been phased out pretty much.

I'd love to, but after buying creed, I'm gunna be broke.

Also, how am I supposed to move a TV from the shops to my home using the train and my frail body?

Short version; Its Broken
Long Version; Its very broken

in all seriousness, its probally a fuse or component inside that has burnt out, nothing you can do unless you can find a TV repair shop (rare nowadays), which will probally cost you more to fix it than the cost of a new one.

If you have a spare PC monitor you can always hook the 360 up to that, cables for that should only be a few quid.

Depends on your monitor, I had an old HDMI/VGA cable that I used. It didn't give me sound, but it at least let me play.

Check what inputs you have on your monitor first

If you have a PC monitor, better off just using that.
For XBOX 360 you can get an HDMI to DVI cable, if your monitor has a connector for the one on the right:

Mine cost £2 in the UK off amazon, works just fine, tho I use it for my laptop and monitor lol (don't have any form o' xbox).

There are cables to go to vga as well, but they seem to cost a little more (probably due to the fact they're not wanted as much).
