OOC: PurpleRain said the doors were locked, so I was curious as to whether locksmith was like lockpick or not.
I dont think its night, as we made our way here in the morning. Oh well, an honest mistake, just tipping you off so it doesnt mess with any further posts. =)7dollarbill said:Aaron grew tired of waiting for Dr. Spencer, standing up from his seat he headed for the main door, giving a nod and smile to the receptionist behind the desk. The cold air took him abit by surprise as he exited the Embassy, he'd forgotten that deserts could get quite freezing at night.

"Okay, forgetting the impossible corpse downstairs for now - after all, if we spread around that his death seems physically impossible people are bound to start going hysterical, so let's concentrate on what we DO have. Is this where you found the notes? Any way of telling what might have been taken? Someone seemed pretty desperate to get into that box after all, might give us an idea as to why this is happening. Also, what do you think of Memnon, Hubert's project? He may have just gone on to there after all, providing the body downstairs isn't his...I'm not saying we blindly run into an unknown temple, but it could be a future move and we should probably think about it."

What do I find?
Basically, anything that could be useful. But if I have to pick, the book.PurpleRain said:What are you looking for? Cults or the name of the book?
I managed to extract only the name of the book from Prof. Spencers library. Those demons your talking about are part of another title for the book, as it has two.Qayin said:Could a successful set of rolls identify what the Kitab Al-Azif is? I.e. occult rolls, ideas and cross-referencing in the Library? Unless Travis has sufficiently done this? I couldn't tell if he actually found an accurate representation of that book or not.
OOC; I'm so confused, does that mean we have the book or not? So we know the title, but not what it contains?The_Toe_Bighter98 said:I managed to extract only the name of the book from Prof. Spencers library. Those demons your talking about are part of another title for the book, as it has two.
"Erm." Maz speaks quietly from his bench to the side of the room. "I studied history quite a lot, and I think I remember hearing something about that in one of Dr. Spencer's lessons..." He thinks for a moment, trying to remember if the books Travis mentioned have any historical significance.The_Toe_Bighter98 said:Pulling books from their shelves, Travis was surprised to find a helpful piece of information regarding the books name. Tucking the information away, Travis rushes downstairs to share the new discovery with the others. However, descending the staircase he is surprised to see the face of Saheed, who is currently conversing with a member of the group. Stepping forward, Travis speaks bluntly "Sorry to interupt, but I must ask Saheed a question.". Turning to Saheed, Travis asks "Saheed, have you ever heard of 'The Book of the Approacher'? How about 'The Book of the Howlings of the Desert Demons or Jinn'?".
The group stares in bewilderment at Travis, who proceeds to explain. "I think I have this figured out. I know that Prof. Spencer aquired three items recently, and these items included a large bronze sword, a sacrifical knife, and the said book. We know that someone killed two people in the basement, along with the other clues.", which Travis proceeds to outline again, the missing items from the crate and the strange fire marks. "So, where did the Professor get these items Saheed?" he asked with some anger.
