I'm just a little curious: why do so many people seem to revile campers, and yet so many people do it?
I'm not talking about just waiting in a room or sniping in one spot. No, I mean the guy in CoD who finds the tiny ledge that he can clip above a doorway and the only way to get him is from directly below him, unfortunately he's already looking that way.
Or the guys in halo who hide behind the pane of glass on boardwalk but can still shoot through it.
And at least 4 out of 5 zombie games in sword base have between 3 and 8 guys chilling in the long hallway with the one entry.
So many people complain about campers, and yet the amount of campers is far from the minority.
Why do it? Especially when your settings are on "for fun" not "winning is everything"?
EDIT: I'd like to clarify, I have no problem with legitimate camping, such as the entire team chilling out on the flag or waiting around a well-trafficked corner, that is A-ok with me. Totally reasonable as a strategy. I'm talking about glitch exploits and finding the one area of a map where the entire team can rush and he just has to pull the trigger. THAT is something that requires no skill or cunning or coordination, it's cheating.
