I've recently gotten into blues music and I was wondering if anyone could recommend any good blues singers and/or guitarists. I've already started with B. B. King but I don't know any others apart from him.

If you use the Pandora player (it's free) just start a station with BB King and it'll start playing other music like his.

Hey, I can contribute here (it doesn't happen often on this site so I'm soaking in the moment):

-Muddy Waters: You've probably heard some of his stuff.

-Stevie Ray Vaughan: I love his guitar tone.

-Black Keys (Their early stuff is closer to blues than the later stuff, which I still love)

-Bob Dylan (not pure blues, but he incorporates it heavily in many of his songs)

There's tons of artists that I won't call pure blues, actually, but who are capable of making a good one from time to time.

The White Stripes were more punk blues, but I absolutely love this one...

And John Mayer, douchebag that he is (and I don't like 90% of his music), had this one. He really goes for the Stevie Ray Vaughan sound in it.

And one from Jimi Hendrix

Howlin' Wolf
Mississippi John Hurt
Robert Johnson
Skip James
...

(and, objectively, you should probably have a listen to Stevie Ray Vaughn [supposedly great, but not quite my cup of tea])

(edit: yup, also White Stripes' Jack White)

John Lee Hooker, Howlin Wolf, Muddy Waters, Skip James would be my recommendations. Glad to hear you have discovered blues.

p.s. Jimi Hendrix is often overlooked in my opinion for his blues cover versions.

Other artist to you could try
Elmore James
John lee hooker

another that can only be described as "bluesy" rather than an outright blues musician, but there's the incomparable Tom Waits:

granted, this particular song has more of a polka feel than blues feel. but there's definitely a lot of blues influences in all his stuff.

Oh, I just meant in music suggestion threads. Most of them are about metal, and I listen to (at least a little bit of) pretty much every genre but metal. Thanks though.

Stylistically the closest to B.B. King would probably be Albert King. I'm amazed nobody has mentioned him yet.

If The White Stripes can be labeled then We Are Your Father can as well.

They have other bluesier stuff (Cowboy Song), this is just their only music vid.

The only one I can think of other than what has been mentioned is Arthur Crudup, the guy Elvis stole a lot of his songs from.

Seasick Steve,
"Screaming" Jay Hawkins,
Willie Mae "Big Mama" Thornton,
"Mississippi" John Hurt,

Blind Willie Johnson

EDIT: Bo Diddley, I love the Bo Diddley beat.
Muddy Waters, he invented electricity.
