Can anyone recommend me a game?

Does anyone have any suggestions for a good game I should buy?

Whether it be old or new, I don't care so long as you can tell me just a bit about the game. The gameplay style(combat, puzzle solving etc),whether the story is good or not, and tell me at least one negetive thing about the game. That's just so I can weigh out the options.

Also it has to be either PS2 or PS3, cause my Xbox died and I'm not into PC gaming.

er...what kinds of games do you like or preffere? would have to know more about your tastes.
I don't own a PS2/3, but from the exclusives i know about it that should be really good are Shadow of The colossus, ICO, Okami, Heavy Rain and Demon's Soul

All for the PS2:
Gladius, turn based RPG with swing meter combat(kind of like what you see in golf games)
Spartan Total Warrior, fun Hack n's Slash
Summoner 2, real time combat RPG, decent story and somewhat challenging combat
Gun, wild west third person shooter, a lot like Red Dead

Just to name a couple of underrated gems.

whoops! Sorry I kinda forgot :S.....Well I mostly like either RPG, JRPG, TPS, FPS, or basically any action adventure games.....BTW thanks for the suggestions

the jak series. you won't regret it, they might be the best games ever made.
