Having just been on the thread about sexuality, im curious as to if your worried about sharing a bed with someone of the same sex... What about sharing the bed with a young child or even 2 whom you are babysitting.

Im 19, but last year i used to babysit my neighbour's 2 kids a lot. The oldest was 11 and the youngest was 7yrs old. Both used to like sleeping beside me in my room, and my mum would be in her room. Obviously i never laid a hand on them nor had any intention seeing as i treat and love them like brother and sister to me, not only that but to be honest, i hated sleeping beside them because id often end up battered and thrown off the bed before morning, but the kids insisted on me sleeping beside them.
However one of the girl's friends lives in the same street and her mum thinks its inappropriate and you can tell from her attitude that she seems to think im some sort of pervert.

Can you honestly call someone a pervert for this??

Yes (although maybe not completely honestly). Despite the fact that someone into boy little boys and little girls is extremely rare and most sexual abuses happen one-on-one.

Unless your doing anything wrong, it's not perverted at all. I slept with my parents and family members when i was young, they didn't do anything to me and they aren't perverts. Try and explain that to the mum.

You weren't doing anything wrong, you were appeasing them and hardly raping them in any way...

I think the question is not pervert, but pedophile. And no, not unless you do something with them.

i get called perverted for complimenting someone! Granted in there closet is a bad place to say it, but i stand by my comment. Parents are just over protective. saying that, if a 19 year old was in same bed/room with my childrne, id check on them alot.

No, you never had any sexual intentions, so no one would have the right to call you a perv for this...

The mother who thinks it's perverted is the one with the perverted mind.

You're innocent and how people should be, I'm still with the mother though.

sure you, can, you pervert.

OT: Not really, I'd only consider you a pervert if you took pictures of them while they slept.

If sleeping in the same bed as a child is considered "perverted", we need to send the Party-van to Africa(or any other part of the world where beds are a luxury).

...So no.

There's nothing wrong with that, I'm 17 and slept in the same bed as my friends/cousins/grandparents when I stayed over and regularly share my bed with cousins (Ages between 18-3) when they come up to stay, out of lack of room more than anything, feet in the face are not fun.

This may seem a weird thing for me to say, but you're a girl yes? That makes it even less "perverted" than if you were a guy.

As long as you've done nothing untoward to the children, I'd ignore her.
