Hi all,

I'm very much looking forward to playing Diablo III, but am unsure if I'll be able to comfortably run it. I'm somewhat tech savvy, but having been primarily a console gamer, I don't know much about the capabilities of different graphics hardware.

My two questions are: Given the spec below, will I be able to run the game?
If not, would it be possible to upgrade the graphics hardware given the mobo and the rest of the system?

My system specs:

MODEL: TOSHIBA Satellite A660
MOBO: TOSHIBA NWQAA PSAW3A-07S00R

OS: MS Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit SP1
Processor: Intel Core i7 740QM @ 1.73GHz
Memory: 8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3
Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 330M - 1024MB

Recommended system specs:

OS: Windows Vista®/Windows® 7 (Latest Service Packs)
Processor: Intel® Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz or AMD AthlonTM 64 X2 5600+ 2.8 GHz
Memory: 2 GB RAM
Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® 260 or ATI Radeon? HD 4870 or better

Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, you are quite a bit above the recommended specs.
My entire post, boiled down, is estentially:
NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 330M - 1024MB or NVIDIA® GeForce® 260: which is the 'better' device?

I'm quite comfortable with the other specs, just this one is giving me some trouble.

I doubt it, actually.
Where video cards are concerned, it's the second number that says the most about how good it is.

260 is a fair bit more powerful than a 330M.

Also, the "M" makes an enormous difference.
The power level of a GTX 260 and a GTX 260M is about 2.5 times.

I'd recommend perhaps updating your graphics card, otherwise you are fine.

This is exactly the sort of answer I was looking for.
Am I right in assuming that the 'M' stands for mobile?

Part 2 of my question is this: is it possible to do so? I've been told conflicting stories from different sources, some saying that the Satellite A660 is 'fixed specs' (un-upgradable) and other who say it definitly possible.

I have no idea.
Generally speaking, you can't upgrade laptop graphics, as the "upgrade option" you choose upon purchase is actually them giving you a different laptop.

To get a definitive answer, you should just call Toshiba

Keep in mind that as a beta it's probably gonna be a bit choppy anyway.
