Hi, I am interested in this fan, I did some moving around of the fans positions, I want this fan

http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835213006

The reviews state to have a fan controller, however I run a alienware aurora R2 ALX , its the one with the X58 chipset , the stock fans all run at 4000+Rpm at max, these fans are plugged directly into the ALX board ( no controller present, Thermal control software Included)

If I order this fan, Can I use it direct to ALX Board with no issues?

Alienware R2

intel I7 920 2.67Ghz overcloacked to 3.2Ghz

32Gb Kingston 1600Mhz ram

2x Asus Gtx 760 OC 2Gb Gpu's

875 watt Power Supply

Thanks

Yes, most of the reviews mention fan controllers because these things seem to be noisy when run at full speed. Which they will do if you plug them straight in to the headers on your Mobo, you can

1). Use some inline resistors to slow the speed
2). Use the bios to tweak the fans speed (if it allows that)
3). Use monitoring software either supplied with the computer or downloaded form the internet (E.G Speedfan) to manage the speed of the fan.

someone mentioned some non sense about supplied amperage from the mobo headers but most if not all fan makers will make fans that run on ANY standard 3 / 4 pin fan header and amperage only becomes an issue if you plan on running more than one fan at a time off a fan header.
