Okay, so I've had this dream for a while now, and it has to mean something important if I keep having it, right? So, naturally, I turn to the escapist for help.

So, here's my dream

[spoiler/]Over the past year or so, I've had the same dream every few nights.

I'm walking through a dark hallway and I can see a light at the end shinning down on a small figure sitting in a chair.
I get closer and I figure out its a dark haired girl sitting with her back to me.

I can see she's shaking. I ask if she's alright. She turns to me and she's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. She's slightly weeping and shaking.

I ask again if she's okay. She then gets up and briskly walks towards me and hugs me tightly. She continues to cry and I hold her gently, reassuring her that it'll be okay.

She then leads me down to sit with her, she's still holding me. She stops crying and says, "I've always loved you." and then she crumbles to ash in my arms.[/spoiler]

It's pretty intense and I usually wake up in a panic and I'm sweating.

Can anyone help?

Did you have a nasty break-up recently? Someone die? Have there been fires in your life?

Dream analysis is a real touch and go thing, chief. However, as an student of psychology, I'll take a shot at it. PM me if you would prefer to carry this out privately.

No. My last girlfriend was about 2 years ago and the break up was mutual. My uncle died a year ago (almost exactly) but I took it pretty well.

I'm a take a pot shot at this...
This dream possobly means that you are afraid of keeping a relationship, or fear of commitment. It dosn't sound too bad, but it also could mean that you fear that you won't be able to keep your marrige/relationship from falling apart even though you try your best to keep it together for as long as posible. I suggest you seek profesional help about this dream to keep it from harming you in the future.

Now that I think about it, I've never said something with that much wisdom before and I'm only fifteen.

Dreams don't have to mean anything. One reason you keep having it is you are obsessing over it. If you are constantly thinking about it then you will still be thinking about it when you are sleeping ergo, dreams.

That actually is a great analysis.

Although, I'm not afraid of commitment, I do try my best to keep relationships together but my last two fell apart.

You're going to have a daughter that you love very much, only to have her die, possibly from an illness.

Hm. Do you, or have you ever had, a girl you have had strong feelings for but never expressed them? Or perhaps did express your feelings and got rejected?

Thing is, your subconscious can turn a real girl you love into a girl of incomparable beauty in a dream. The "I've always loved you" statement, plus the crying could be a fantasy, the girl you love confessing her love of you. If this is the case, then the crumbling to ashes is the realisation that even if she does love you, you can't have her.

If it is even remotely possible that this is the case, you have got to figure out who it's about (who the beautiful woman symbolizes) and resolve your unrequited love for her. If you don't, it'll lead to unimaginable pain in the near future.

Trust me.

But that dream sound remarkably similar to a scene from 1408.

The John Cusack movie? I don't remember that part.

I'm somewhat creeped out from your accuracy.

I did tell my last girlfriend that I loved her more than anything in the world only to have her break up with me right after I told her.

Ok, so your profile says you are 16.
Do you know this girl? Is/Was she a crush of yours? If so then your subconsciousness is telling you to act on this before she leaves you.

Have you no idea who she is? The light shining down at the end of the tunnel may indicate that you want to meet someone. Go to some parties, events, extracurricular activities and find someone with similar interests to you. Things should resolve themselves.

Sounds like you long for romantic love and can't seem to hold onto it. A curse many of us face myself included.
