Hell no. While Alienware is decent enough, it's way overpriced. I'd steer clear from it.SnootyEnglishman said:Anything made by Alienware.
Hell no! First of all, it's screen is tiny. 11"? I think 15.4" is pretty small already, go figure.Hokutan said:http://www.futureshop.ca/en-CA/product/dell-alienware-11-6-intel-core-2-duo-su7300-laptop-am11x-11649e-black-english-am11x-11649e/10149107.aspx?path=9b6208f71a2fb79653c9723ea00935b8en02
Would this be a decent laptop?

It also lacks a proper, dedicated video card; that Integrated Intel GMA 3150 is, as it says, an intergrated video card, and they pretty much always suck.
Last but not least, it's CPU is rather underpowered. A 1.3 Ghz dual core? Puhlease... My 600 euro laptop is better than this thing, it's thing is almost twice it's cost.
First of all does it need to be a laptop? you will get a much better gaming rig for the same price if you go with a tower. But if you insist on a laptop go with a Toshiba Qosmio or something along those lines, alienware are are generally way overpriced (and owned by dell).Hokutan said:Hey can you guys help me find a gaming laptop around 1200$? something that can run for example Starcraft 2 on high graphics.
Just edited that post you quoted me from, and I made a post before that with another link. Mind you, I'm not a super-duper expert either, but I've been around a bit. I do think that those 2 models offer you what you want, way better than that crappy AlienWare thing.Hokutan said:Could you give me a link to a good laptop? i'm not much of a computer guy
My Dell XPS M1530 was touted as a gaming laptop, and I play games on it now (L4d2, TF2, Sims 3 *don't judge!*) and it works fine. There's nothing with gaming laptops.Steel Ronin said:Whatever you do don't buy a laptop for gaming I've had one and I had to take care of it way too much ot broke all the time and it was just not a good idea. Here in Bulgaria laptops are 3 times more expensive than normal PCs so if that is the case in your country just don't buy one.Only Good thing for laptops is that I found that you can write much faster and it's better for a writer to get one.
