I didnt play much of EOB 1 or 2, I think I was too young. But I loved EOB 3!
Even when I finally played the game to finish it, 2 or 3 years ago, I still loved it. It made me remember why I loved it in the first place, although playing it at 20 odd years of age I found it heaps easier than playing it at age 12.

Who else shares my plee for someone to rekindle the series in todays gaming world??

I also loved how on the box for EOB3 they claimed "full 3D" with a picture of an earth elemental who's fist would suddenly be 'larger in perspective' whenever he hit you. Ahh those gold moments of times gone by...
I wonder what people will think of todays 'full 3D' claims in 15 years time...

I vote they keep the party system, where you can't really disperse the party, wouldn't you huddle together when trekking through monster ridden lands?
And perhaps try to keep the first person 'entire party view'?

I'm sorry, but your request to have The Escapist board community create a sequel for your game must be denied. I am afraid we are currently far to busy with put current project,a fan remake of the console wars, coming out on these boards this Christmas.

Ack, Eye of the Beholder 3 was the worst of those games. I'd much rather see the first one remade.

The Eye of the Beholder games were esentially a ripoff of Dungeon Master; they were 3d-ish, first-person dungeon crawls with real-time combat and more interactivity than previous, similar games (Might and Magic, Wizardry).

I also think that EOB 3 was the weakest game of the series. Not terribly bad itself, just worse than the others.
Etab, have you played Lands of Lore? It's from the same people who made EOB 1 and 2 and is actually quite good (better keep your hands off the parts 2 and 3, though). It can be found at the Underdogs.
Also, I think I read somewhere that there are mods for Neverwinter Nights that recreate the EOB series but I haven't tried any of them.
I still wonder what you specifically like about EOB, though. I liked it at the time but wouldn't want to play it nowadays.

All I know is that I had this Dungeon Master one time who would whip out an Eye of the Beholder whenever I had a cool character the looked like he was going to be something great. He'd make sure I was weak from a ridiculous battle then whack my character and then laugh at me. Man, I hated that kid. That's why I slept with his sister, right there in his room, in full view of his hand-painted pewter figurines!
