Here's a bit of a lifehack for affected folks: 20" x 20" HVAC filters will fit over standard box fans; I picked up a pack of four for $3. Ad hoc air purifiers without the expense.

There's this town called Edson that I feel so bad for. They were evacuated once, eventually returned home, got evacuated again, returned home, and then when we finally got rain there was so much they had to declare a state of local emergency and get help diverting all the water.

Currently there are multiple wildfires surrounding the town that are under control but could be blown out of containment.

They have had such a shitty run of luck.
