Cancelled games that you were really looking forward to

Since it was announced a few days ago that Megaman Legends 3 was cancelled, I was wondering if there was any game that my fellow Escapists were looking forward to, but ended up getting canned?

I was pretty stoked when I first heard about The Agency, even before I owned a PS3.

Then their studio closed. Very disappointing.

Remember Starcraft: Ghost? No? Me neither as Blizzard never released it. I think that now more than ever people will want to play it after playing Starcraft II.

I have quite a few, Dead Rush (GTA with zombies), StarCraft:Ghost (Starcraft stealth action game), Dead Phoenix (Cool looking rail-shooter for gamecube)Killing Day (Awesome looking shooter for PS3) Vectorman on Xbox/PS2.

BC looked to be pretty interesting, but that idea went down the tubes. Well, at least the studio went on to make Fable!

I was really looking forward to Starcraft: Ghost even though I've never played a Starcraft game as I don't like RTSs. The game looked really good, plus I love a good stealth game.

But, we got District 9 because the Halo movie fell through. There is no way a Halo movie could be better than District 9.

This is true, but I wasn't meaning the movie. He was working on some 'episodical Halo gaming material' back in 07/8. Can't remember what it was called, nd CBF googling it up.



And the only way a Halo movie could have been better than D9 was if every character was played by Billy Connolley and Sean Connery, Nutty Professor style.

Project Offset it the only one that comes to mind, it was a RPG a bit like a cross between Oblivion, lord of the rings and had a bit of Fable: TLC in it. I saw it when a friend posted it on Facebook claiming it was a Skyrim Trailer (this was early 2010) and he was utterly convinced. It was, obviously a fan trailer (a poorly made one at that) but the game did look promicing. Looked it up, and it was cancelled. Shame, it looked really smooth and pretty.

Well, I don't know if anyone else will feel the same way but I was really, really excited about Robotech: Crystal Dreams before the studio shut down and it was never released for the N64. Too bad.
