Capcom is Bringing Six Classic Mega Man Games to Mobile

Mega Man 1-6 will be coming to mobile devices in early January, Capcom announced today.

Following the announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, Capcom revealed [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/168977-Capcom-Planning-to-Revive-Series-that-Have-Been-Quiet-of-Late] that it "is currently focused on reviving series that have not had new entries recently, or otherwise dormant IP." We here at The Escapist have had a blast fantasizing about the franchises we'd like to see come back from the dead, with one obvious favorite being Mega Man. In a press release today, Capcom confirmed that this will, in fact, be one of the revived franchises - but not in the way we were expecting.

In a press release today, Capcom announced that it will be bringing six classic Mega Man titles to a new platform - mobile. iOS and Android owners will have access to Mega Man, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, Mega Man 4, Mega Man 5, and, you guessed it, Mega Man 6 as of next month. At a cost of $1.99 each, Capcom says that each game "will remind long-time fans and introduce newcomers to what made the Blue Bomber such a popular and iconic character."

As of right now, no firm release date has been announced, but they will be available sometime in "early January."
