For those who didn't know, yes, Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition is coming out for the PC as well as Xbox360 and PS3.

The game is an upgrade version of Super Street Fighter 4, with 4 new characters, balance patches, and updated online modes and functionality. Up until recently, this was sounding fine for the PC version of the game, seeing as how they never released SSF4 for PC. But then they released info on how if you didn't have the game online at all times, you would lose the ability to save as well as only being able to use 15 out of the 39 characters.

Since recieving a bit of backlash from that, Sven(one of the lead Community Managers and higher-ups in Capcom), has stated that they are willing to hear from the fans and try and take any DRM ideas or advice they might have, and add it into the game before its release.

I'm not a diehard Street Fighter fan, but the original idea for DRM was crazy.

If your offline then how about not getting to play online? Take away half the fighters and no saves? WTF is that.

Once you know it's a real version that should be it.

If you pirate it, your inputs will not register very rarely but often enough for it to annoy you. One frame links will fail 5% of the time regardless of input.

Get rid of the DRM? Seriously, I'm no PC gamer but I'd be damned if something that restrictive to honest consumers. Bad things can happen when you piss off your consumer base... *looks at Sony*

They better change it. I'm not even a PC gamer and I can clearly see how shitty their DRM is for SSF4:AE is.

I keep hoping AE means Arcane Edinburgh.

I'd love to have a steampunk high fantasy fighting game of some sort in Scotland.

Wait what ... are they serious?!
It's street fighter 4. Single player is a mediocre experience.

The game is almost entirely a multiplayer game, so ... how about if you're not online you don't get online multiplayer ... :p
