Now, I'll admit that the previous couple of CoD games have felt a bit gimmicky with their special editions (Toy nightsight, anyone) but I have to say, I felt this was a step too far..

http://www.play.com/Games/Xbox360/4-/16139432/Call-Of-Duty-Black-Ops-ProGaming-Glasses-Universal/Product.html

A pair of glasses.. Designed to be worn while playing games.

Not prescription, just.. Glasses.

I may be alone in thinking this is utterly ridiculous, but if I am, can anyone tell me why you'd want to spend £69.99 RRP for a pair of glasses that apparently reduce 'glare and fatigue', when, if you're like me, you never experience glare (turn the lights on..) or fatigue (if you're tired, maybe sleep?)

For those of you wishing to issue the response 'wai not, if yoo has moneys doo what yoo want wif it', I take your point, but I'd like to know if even this is too much.

I'm glad I'm not alone in this!

I think I'll design a remote for your TV that lets you turn the volume up.

You could use your own remote, but this one has CoD branding! AWESOME!

Eh, this isn't too much. Too much would be them marketing a food stand so you can be a lazy prick and not have to get up to eat. Fuck paying that much for a shitty set of glasses though. If I wanted to be ripped off I'd waste my money on other pointless, but less shitty, products.

Point taken, I agree it's just an obscene amount of money. I guess the glasses themselves may be a bit of a novelty at £5, it's just the price tag that almost blew my head off.

I think you risk permanently crossing a line buying something like this, and I'm pretty sure if someone came to play split-screen with these 'bad boys' on, I'd clip them round the ear.

Best avatar I have seen in a while! Well done sir!

Just goes to show they can slap a nice big price tag on something, just 'cos it has a popular name tagged onto it.

You know, we're all probably going to go blind from looking at these forums and typing.

I know my eyes are starting to.. ARGH, I'm blinded by glare! Not to mention how fatigued I'm feeling..

Anyone know where I can find some miracle item to rectify this? Perhaps at a far greater price than it's worth?

Wow, those glasses are a bit rubbish. As mum used to say to me "You're just paying for the name, you can get something similar for much cheaper down the road."

What ONLY £60? I better buy ten!
You should, your eyes are currently unprotected! Unprotected I say! I've played games for 14 years without these, and I'm now BLIND..(ed by the stupidity of the product).

I'm glad I already wear glasses.
But when you think about it, glasses are so cheap these days, only £150 or so each time.. You may as well buy these too, and glue them on to your existing specs!
