Casting call for Halo movie

[Me Am Greatest Warrior]

If a Halo movie ever came out who do you think should be:
-Master Chief
-Sargent Johnson
-Cortana
-Captain Keyes

Feel free to include other characters.

If they ever did make a Halo movie I'd rather it be done completely in CGI than with real actors. Putting real actors into an overly-cgi'd movie (which it would be) just looks stupid. Take the star wars prequels for example.

I think a Halo movie made in the actual game could be pretty badass. Like what Red vs. Blue does, except a full-scale movie.

And Master Chief could be played by a damn mannequin on a remote controlled platform, as he never shows his face (and thus emotion) - you don't need an actor for that. I think actually signing a big name actor for that will be a real sign of weakness in the product.

V for Vendetta. How much emotion is portrayed on V's face even though he constantly wears that same damned mask.

I'm with Simon_TR though. Full CGI all the way, and the original voice actors.

Yes, those sold terribly.

And i'm pretty sure live action is what's on the menu. but thats just rumor... and likelihood.

Thats the plan, and it's not about chief, the idea is to chronicle the events of the human-covenant war through marines, if i have heard correctly.

Of course chief turns up at some point to kill hordes of bitches, but i don't think jackson would settle for a 300-style-'awesome'-fest.

And reach is the first movie, i think a trilogy is certain.

I haven't heard much about this project but you're saying it'll be like an embedded reporter following marines into combat and then trying to get the real story on Chief from the marines who fought alongside him, maybe the whole thing could be shot blair witch style as well. Not a bad movie if it's like that, I'd see it.

Tell that to Jackson's Goblins and Hobbits.

He cast women and children as the shorter cousins of the orcs and they looked awesome in moria. I think he can pull that off with grunts easy.

I meant chronicle as in 'Have a movie about', Not a reporter.

But that could work, i heard tell that the covenant are like the cloverfield monster in the first movie, unseen but horrific, being revealed towards the end along with the fall of reach.

Who knows, Its Jackson, so epic seems to be the best bet.

If Peter Jackson is directing it then I won't be worried about it being live action.

I don't know how they intend to portray chief though, he's not the kinda guy who goes into a 'I'm miss my ma and pa back on the farm' ideally he'd have 6 lines of dialog through the whole movie and never take the armor off. This has a high probability of turning out like Star Ship Troopers 2 or 3 if done wrong.

Master Chief - doesn't matter because of helmet, just a cool voice like shaft but cooler.
Sgt Johnson - No idea cuz the Apollo creed guy is too old, probably just a buff kickass black guy from somewhere random.
Cortana - keep her animated and keep the voice.
Captain Keyes - Maury povich, look at him then look at Keyes, that's what i think he looked like.
