Change someone's Life

Hey escapist, I am trying to get this out as far as I can, and hoping that people may be generous enough to help change my life. I know this forum wouldnt be the usual place to post this, but well Ive actually seen a lot of support around here. Ive also been really impressed at the way the Escapist and its community has handled trans people. And as such Im hoping you might help change someone life, my life. Fine; but I'm not going to donate until it is posted; and I encourage everyone to follow in my footsteps. Songbird is there easy to learn; really I'd be happy if you just repeated the first 20 seconds a few times.

I can understand donating to something life threatening or a serious illness, but this just seems like a matter of want and not need. Unless I've misunderstood something here.

I could post statistics about the number of trans people who commit suicide due to not being able to be themselves, which is often a result of not being able to afford their proceedures, but thats just morbid. Some may see it as a want that I can be myself, but I can assure you it is a need. Many cant understand how something like this can affect your whole life, from jobs to socialising etc, but it does. Anyway, I just hope people can see it for what it is and the change itll make in 1 persons life.

Yeah sorry but nah. This is a want not a need and odor see a decent reason to actually help. All our lives suck and Getty a snippy snippy or feisty pulley won't make much difference in the world shit I want it so that I don't permentatly arch one eye brow but that beside the point. That and we don't need any more liars inthe world

Even if I was 100% sure you actually were genuine, and not just some opportunistic scammer, I wouldn't donate. I think you need to think long and hard about whether this is something you actually want, and why. If the answers are just "because I can, because I have a right to, and because I feel conflicted at the moment and perhaps this is a solution", then I'd recommend therapy, not surgery.

Sorry, but I'm convinced that at least 50% of trans-people would be better off coming to terms with themselves internally rather than externally.

A little heads-up, transpeople need to see therapist in order to qualify for sex reassignment surgery, or even just for hormones (In most countries anyway, at least all the one's I've ever dealt with) Not to mention in a lot of places need to live as the intended sex/gender for at least a year before they can get surgery, this also entails seeing gender therapists.
