Chaplain Carnak has died

Acting legend Sir. John Hurt passed away today. He was 77, and from what I can tell died of complications from cancer.

Most of you know him as the poor bastard what got chest-bursted by a chest-burster in Alien, or as Ollivander of Harry Potter fame or simply Control from Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy.

He is survived by his widow Anwen and two sons, Sasha and Nick

Seriously, yesterday I saw him while watching past Big Fat Quiz of the Year episodes, and I was thinking "Is he dead yet?"

I did not mean it maliciously, I love him, but I will take cosmic coincidental blame on this one.

Personally, when I think of John Hurt, I think of him playing Quentin Crisp in The Naked Civil Servant and An Englishman in New York, but thats probably just me.

When I see his old face, I think of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls.

When I think of The Crystal Skull, I think of being surrounded by old people. (I went with my grandfather I guess during the time old people prefer going to movies)
