After a rather uncomfortable time in Red Robin's thanks to an irritating kid behind me yesterday, I got inspiration for this thread. What character archetypes would you hate to live with as like a roommate or something? I'll split mine by gender:

Male: Silent protagonist. Do I really need to explain why?

Female: Ms. Fanservice. http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MsFanservice
Simply put I would get uncomfortable living with someone like this.

What about you guys?

First of all, why would you be uncomfortable living with a woman like that?

Secondly, I wouldn't want to live with a tsundere [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Tsundere], since that'dmean I'd suffer regardelss of whether she likes me or not.

Huh? Did I read that right? You DON'T want to live with Ms Fanservice? Dude... you're weird.

For me I wouldn't want to live with someone I'm not sure is even a character archetype, and is pretty much always in an anime.

... The guy who pushes up his glasses to "adjust" them, like, all the goddamn time, even when he doesn't need to. It is SO annoying when someone does that in an anime, more so if after he does it light reflects off his lenses and you can't see his eyes.

I would hate to live with an "Angsty teenager" archetype.
Just lotsa whining and crying, ugh it'll be like having to look after a baby that isn't yours.

What's that thing where a person has everyone close to them have horrible things happen to them so they get angsty?

Cause that's probably not a great person to live with.

Ah, yeah, that sounds like it.

Though, most heroes have some version of that going on.

Tsundere. I just...I just don't like the tsundere archetype. At all.

I honestly don't know why I hate it so much, all I know is that it started with Akane Tendo from Ranma1/2 back when I was a kid. I have since settled my strange hatred for the character, and now even kind of like the character to some extent...But I still hate the tsundere archetype.

Quite a few actually.

Tsundere and Yandere: One is an abrasive asshole who hides their insecurities/true feelings behind said abrasiveness. The other is a person who is devoted to you at the cost of murdering anyone and anything that looks at you.

Wangsty teenagers: same reason as Keoul before me.

Alpha-***** type people for reasons that really should go without explanation.

A yandere. Either I'm interefing with their love and they want to kill me... or they love and kill me for aknowledging another human being. I couldn't live like that.

I'd be perfectly fine living with the one you would hate to live with.

Well, the yandere. I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume that I'm not the main character in the anime called "My Life", so I'd probably be at great risk of having my limbs cut off.

Also, most of the evil archetypes, especially those that are chaotic evil. They might kill me at a moment's notice. Or any of the lawful evil ones, they might kill me because I don't clean my room properly.

And I'd rather not room with the protagonist, since I would invariably be the asshole friend that is there to make him look good by comparison, and...ehhhh...

Living with a Manic Pixie Dream Girl would probably be my idea of hell. At least with the other archetypes can be avoided when they're being particularly annoying, a MPDG would just see that as further evidence of your need to lighten up, and redouble her efforts to involve you in her wacky antics.

In the words of Yahtzee; "not every introvert is longing for the day that Zooey Fucking Deschanel kicks their door down and forcibly drags them to a roller rink."

I feel the need to axe you: did you do that on purpose? If not, I'll cut you some slack.

...That was a joke...I think. I'll...show myself out.

OT: Well, I'd hate to live with a Misanthrope Supreme or any evil archetype. The misanthrope would just piss me off, and he/she wouldn't like me anyway because I'm human. And the evil archetypes probably explain themselves. Ah, and the yandere, also for obvious reasons.

And I can totally see why someone wouldn't want to live with a Ms. Fanservice. What a pain it'd be to have such a distracting housemate.

Hah, yeah, this. I hate Zoey Deschanel, so much. I find it odd that she's frequently portraying a MPDG, considering how bland and unexpressive she is. Her vacant, empty eyes, her total lack of any emotional expression in her acting, her monotone voice, and yet she's cast as the girl that embodies frantic whimsy and giddy enjoyment of life?! Worst typecasting ever.

The character trope I like to call ?The Vegeta?. The aloof, deliberately distant asshole who, even if he does something nice for you, has to say at the end something like, ?Don?t get me wrong, I didn?t do that for your benefit. I just wanted to show off. Hmph.? I guess that?s kind of like tsundere, but more of an arrogant version. But I see it in anime all the time: the guy who just has to show everyone else how much of a badass he is by actually being an insufferable, emotionally insecure jerk.
