As the title says I'm wondering where is the least expensive place on the Internet to purchase games?

I know it used to be play.com, but that was a while ago and they seem to have been putting their prices up to normal slowly over the past few years.

Steam be the cheapest with sales, but I have a feeling you're not after PC games.

eBay...?

I get games for like $5 dollars there all the time... picked up L.A. Noire 4 days after it came out for $8 brand new.

Even seen some stuff on there for $00.99...

E-Retailers like Amazon.co.uk and Play.co.uk are really the main places to get cheap new games however places like Steam to get kind of cheap when there is a sale which is like twice a year.

How the hell did you get Noire that cheap?

That's not the only thing, I got Mass Effect 2 for $9, Bioshock 2 for $5, Dragon Age 2 (a week after release) for $14, Fallout: New Vegas for $16 and so forth... (Most of these game were still factory sealed may I add.)

It takes some well timed bidding, some staying up late and some luck. Oh and patience... But you can get some really, really good deals.

Shopto.net is pretty good, usually cheaper with pre orders at least.
Ebay is definitely another good option.

Cex.co.uk do some good second hand games and I've had no problem with them. They give all their stuff 12 months warranty just in case.
But for new games, it's a toss up between gameplay.co.uk or amazon.co.uk, though Amazon's prices have the annoying tendency to jump up and down in the space of a few days at times.

I buy all my games from thehut.com ever since I discovered the site. The games are cheap as hell and they have no delivery fee.
The prices may still seem high if you live in UK though. I live in Sweden myself, and in comparison the games are over 50% cheaper - without counting the free delivery.

I'm going to have to agree on the avatar thing. I'll also go check the site.

Ebay. Just go there, type in a new release, look for a cheap game then look for a high rating on there account. That generally means they're a well established Ebayer so there's less of a risk of being ripped.

I've bought a few 3DS games for $20 AUD. Unfortunately I live in Australia so it's also $10 postage. Still saving $20 though.

TheHut seems pretty cheap to and they seem to have a lot of sales.

On a side note, does anyone know how they sell them so cheap. Do they get them straight from the warehouse like shops do? I was thinking of starting up an Ebay business! The price from some places makes it hard to believe they are making a profit unless they are stolen.

Zavvi can be quite good from time to time, although in saying that a lot of the usual places can, especially round about this time of year as well, when there's not all the big releases.

I'd say amazon.co.uk, or you could trade games in at hmv because you get good prices better than game and gamestation.

Some will be stolen. Some lorry drivers that know they are transporting valuable goods claim that some of the stock "fell off the back" and they couldn't deliver it.

My girlfriend works at Block Busters and has stolen LittleBigPlanet 2 and the
movie District 9 for me, so if it's that easy at BB then I'm sure it would be from super markets or game shops to steal and
make some quick money.
