Righty, so I figured I'd be melodramatically romantic and take a female friend o' mine out for a nice dinner and a movie. When talking about it to another female friend, she brought up "Oh, you gotta go see Sex and the City 2! :D".

Long story short, it's been two days and I'm still trying to find my balls somewhere between my home and the cinema "seen Kyle, this tall" style...

Curious here, what movies/things did you watch to make it easier for your company or less eloquently... get you laid?

I'm actually okay with watching a romantic movie, I've just watched so much Unskippable that I wont be able to help but make comments while watching it. I'd be more than willing to watch damn near anything to get myself laid, mostly because I can go to my happy place and ignore it for the most part and pick up only the important things. The more I think about it, the more useful skills I've gained from depression...

Although this has nothing to do with seeing chick flicks to get laid (as I have never done that before) I'm not afraid to admit I have seen chick flicks before and liked most of them

I usually watch things that are stereotypically viewed by women for my own enjoyment, not for the benefit of others. An overly macho (not manly) friend of mine often tries to make fun of me for watching and enjoying Sex and the Ciy.

I've never watched one with the purpose of getting laid, but I have no problem with watching a "Chick Flick". Sometimes some emotion in a film is a good thing, and if can make me feel something, then good for it.

I don't have a problem with chick flicks, I've got a couple in my library. My problem is with bad chick flicks, which are more common than chick flicks that are good movies.

In all likelyhood, I'd be the one who wants to see them.
Well, not the new shit- I mean one from the classical times, when Meg Ryan was in every single one.

I rather loathe stereotypical chick flicks, but I'll watch action movies with the guys if it means I can get some action of my own later. :)

I've seen a lot of chick flicks. Some good. Some bad. But I know is I'd rather watch Sex in the City 2 than twilight. Twilight was more of a disgrace for chick flicks rather than the vampire crap.

My first wife fell in love with SatC. Bought all the seasons, watched them several times, put them on as background noise. I eventually caved. Turns out it's not that bad. Not... bad at all, really. I mean, some of the fashion-slave $400 shoes thing gets old, but...
OH MY GOD I LOVE MIRANDA SO MUCH!

ahem.
Anyway. Big rocks my socks clean off, too. My final (one way or the other) wife also digs the sappy McCaunahey/Hudson-style drivel. My stoic man-shield remains intact there. Bad movies is bad movies, all stereotypes aside.

French Kiss. Kevin Kline could make The Room watchable. Such a dreamboat.
ahem again.
Commando is the best movie ever.

I saw Titanic with my wife, (not my wife at the time) she apologized so much afterward it almost made up for the time I will never get back.

Try to watch a romantic comedy. At least its could be funny.

Or, if its sex and the city, you might get to see some naked women.

Eh, I watched the Titanic and the Proposal, found them slightly amusing but still found them too corny.

Shrek 3, I hated it. Mind you, I don't like any of the films.

I've never had a girlfriend, so I've fortunately never had to suffer through this. If I ever had a girlfriend, she probably wouldn't be the kind of person who'd enjoy chick flicks.
