What's the best childhood adventure you've ever had?
I have a couple I really cherish even though I look back and realize how dumb I was. One time, me and my neighbor decided to explore the sewer/drainage tunnel system running beneath our neighborhood and we spent hours down there exploring like they were dangerous caves or uncharted mines into the depths of the Earth. It was a lot of fun. Things got really scary, however, when we heard a soft "pat-pat" noise and the ground underneath our feet started getting wet. We realized it had started to rain and we needed to get out of there as soon as possible. Problem was,we couldn't find a way out. The water was rising around us and we both thought we were going to die. Then, by some miracle we see a small ring of light above us and we both push up with all our might and find that it's on of those metal manhole covers and we're able to get it off and climb out just as the water began rising to dangerous levels.
Basically just share your childhood adventures!
