Goedenavond, you funting bastiches! Here to tell you about not one, not two, but nine total freebies:

[HEADING=2]Limbo, Alan Wake's American Nightmare + 7 more [https://www.humblebundle.com/monthly/trove][/HEADING]

So, it seems like Humble is doing this new thing called Humble Trove where they give a curated bundle of games for free each month, starting with the following games[footnote]Seems Humble Monthly subcribers get access to a wider catalog of freebies, but I don't have that so can't confirm[/footnote]:
Limbo
Alan Wake's American Nightmare
Uurnog
Fortune 499
Tiny Echo
Cat Girl Without Salad
Drawkanoid
THOR.N
Crescent Bay

Available for free at Humble until this timer runs out: [timer=09/16/2018 8:00 PM GMT], although it's really more a guess based on whatever info on a timetable I could find. As far as I can tell, the games are all DRM-free. Just download the installer and you should be good to go.

The trove has been around for a while. It exists because Humble Monthly has made itself a less valuable investment over time. This was just a short term offer of access to a handful of titles from the trove in order to advertise (this is the second of third time they've done this style promotion), while Humble Monthly subs have access to the whole trove.

Humble Monthly is a blind bundle where you pay $12/m for a bundle of games without knowing what most of them are ahead of time. When it first went up, one of the claims was that it was games that weren't in previous Humble Bundles and another was that each bundle would contain a Humble Original -- an original (if typically pretty simple), usually experimental title released exclusively as part of that month's bundle.

They dropped the first of those from the advertising within the first couple of months and now include titles from previous Humble Bundles at least a few times a year, then Humble Originals stopped being actually exclusive but instead timed exclusive (Copoka was the first), then shorter timed exclusives (Getting Over it With Bennet Foddy) then even shorter timed exclusives (the January 2018 Humble Original was put up as a free to all Trove title in a similar promo to this one 7 days after it's release).

The Trove was created to improve the perceived value of Humble Monthly because the perceived value of it has eroded from repeating games in previous Humble Bundles and making "exclusive" Humble Originals less so over time. First it granted access to the Humble Original from every previous Humble Monthly. Then additional titles have been slowly added over time. Current count is 70 games in total in the Trove.

I see. Didn't know the Humble Trove has been around for a while. Don't really pay much attention to them outside of checking the bundles every once in a while or when they do the occasional giveaway.
