Its pretty much impossible to stop someone from getting into a networked system that is in some way connected to the internet. The real key is catching them since then you can take steps to mitigate damage without letting them know you know they are there.

Since they didn't DDOS an ISP like some butthurt teenager who got banned from a Gmod roleplay server, it's more likely they learned from the US.

Edit: So I was on Tik Tok and I realized from this guy that what Xi learned from the Ukraine-Russian War is simple. Have more nukes. Have a world-ending amount of nukes or at least enough nuclear submarines with ballistic missiles to end the world multiple times over, and then unless you attack a major non-nato ally or a NATO country you can survive minus sanctions. You can attack Taiwan's somewhat consequence-free.
No counter to this that I can think of.
By 2029 or sooner Tapiel won't be traded for DC in an exchange that will go nuclear, cyber, or otherwise.

China won't attack the US because that is suicide.
It might attack Taiwan and if the US then enters the war, use those prepared measures to target US infrastructure. But in a case of a hot Chian-US war we have other things to worry about.

The US didn’t help Ukraine and now Russia has some of the best land in Ukraine plus Crimea.

Yes, it is posible that China attacks Taiwan and the US does not get directly involved which might end up with China winning.
In that case all those plans to attack US infrastructure via Cyber-warfare will end up utterly irrelevant.
They could elect Trump, all the republicans will have to do is blame Biden for it.
One of the things that puzzles me about China is that they aren't even spending the required amount(around 1.2 times to account for better US tech) to defeat the US with any measurement of how much they spend GDP PPP, or otherwise. Yes, China is a larger country with a larger population and knows not to spend like the Soviets who couldn't get enough geopolitical power out of their spending anyway.
Then again dictatorships create poor militaries anyway. But eventually, the DOD will have to find out how to counter nuclear weapons somehow without breaking the bank. Until then if you have 100 to 300 nukes in North Korea you can get away with starving your citizens. If you have 1000 like China in the future or Russia now you can get away with an invasion which is a loophole that will get plugged with things like directed energy weapons, and maybe drone swarms. Until then Russia and China can get away with whatever they want to provide they don't bleed themselves invading multiple countries which Putin is too dumb to realize anyways.
