So I bought it and gave it a try.

I've only been playing for four days so far. I was up until 6 in the morning last night in a game that I didn't save until I researched Atomic Theory and found out that there wasn't a single uranium node on my civ's continent.

Before I went to sleep, I was terrified that Gandhi had it all.

I think I'm addicted...please send help.

You're in the tree now, and you know what they say!

Seriously though, that game is like a fast-forward button for your day.

I also recently discovered the joy in Civilization with 5, about 4 months before the launch of Civ 6 (which is better than 5, just my noobish opinion) Honestly never thought i would play this game and enjoy it.

If you're new to grand strategy games then welcome to the genre. The Civ series is like a gateway drug, next thing you know you'll be castrating babies and marrying your cousins in Crusader Kings 2 or turning Japan into a colony of your mighty Aztec empire in Europa Universalis IV.

The one I really loved was Beyond Earth. Once these 4X games break loose of their pseudo-historical trappings, you can get some really crazy shit going, like puritan Space Marines fighting insect cavalry and giant mecha.

Shit, I might boot that up again right now.
