So I'm on PS3, mostly COD4. I'm a member of a clan (AviT) and I was wondering how many of the mighty escapist are in a clan, and also how seriously you take slurs on your clan's abilities? I only accept someone cussing out my clan if its me and my immediate team they have beaten, otherwise it's just trash.

To elaborate, we have done a headcount on PSN, and there are at least 56 members of the clan, probably more.

Just curious really, and this is also search bar approved peeps!

Me and my friends made 'MOD' (that's the British Ministry of Defense, if you were wondering) on CoD4, though they've mostly changed it now. I don't listen to the shit random strangers have to say - if I'm not in a Live Party I unplug the headset, so they can ***** about me all they want. However, the only time I have trouble with Live strangers is on Left 4 Dead, where I'm instakicked for making mistakes or doing something which does not comply with the wishes of the group.

Meh, if they want to say we suck... there has to be a reason. I accept good criticism about my clan and pssh off the rest.

I consider trash talking outside of a friendly jab kind of way to be "just not on". Sure, it's possible to be a sore loser, but it's also possible to be a sore winner as well. If your team wins, or loses, simply give a few "good game"-s and "nice playing with you"-s. There is nothing wrong with being courteous.

Unless this kind of attitude is somehow no longer accepted and I'm just pining for the days I was in the Blighty Boys.

Played in afew CoD2 clans back in the day when I played the game to attempt to be awesome at it and awesome only. Never got mouthy however and always said good game and that.

Now I play a big mix of games so no need for a clan as I don't want to enter leagues/ladders or anything.

Clans are a bit too much of a gaming commitment to me. I don't like people telling me when to play and what game to play.

My main clan ( well, we're more of a community to be honest ) is KotSC, Knights of the Square Chair
We mainly fool about really because we know better than to take everything seriously, but if we want to we can be awesome at games =D

Just did a head count, 27 active members

How on earth do you have a clan with dozens of members? Call me old fashioned but I remember the days when a clan was a group of people who competed in online games. You can't possibly have 50+ people all compete without it being essentially a whole load of different clans.

All of you clansmen should be ashamed of yourselves. Stop being racist.

I'm member of the UKManDown clan, who mostly plays Valve games on the PC, like TF2, CSS and L4D. I'm currently in their sub-clan, working my way towards a full UKMD membership. It's a great group of people, never take games too seriously (just look at this video [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEllcscqtKQ] made by some of my clanmembers, that says enough), they're polite and are always glad to help new people out. They make gaming so much more fun.

As for how I take people slurring my clan, well we usually stick to our own servers, although we gladly play with anyone who comes on. However, when someone starts swearing and flaming, he/she can get a kick or even a ban pretty quickly. As I said, we're a polite bunch of people, swearing is pretty much banned. And if we feel like taking revenge against someone, we just kick their asses ingame to shut them up. You can only take so many of my headshots in a row before you ragequit.

Im only part of a clan in respect to a clan tag. The tag in question is FLCL, points for the reference.

I've been in a couple clans in my day but recently left one. I like active clans with lots of scrims, but unfortunately I haven't seen many. Most are just casual.

I'll tell you about the best clan I've been in, though. It was for CoD:UO and it was called {ISS} for Insane Sharp Shooters. Very active clan with scrims all the time. The reason why I loved this clan so much was because of this cool thing it had that I've yet to see in any other clan. It had a ranking system like Pvt., Sgt. Col. and such, but one cool thing it had was divisions. Since you could have different colors in your name, you could be in a different division each led by a different "general". It was actually a really cool idea, but unfortunately I got rid of UO and never found a clan as good as ISS since.
