I originally made this post on IMDb:

I love Greek mythology and the original film was amazing.

I like Sam Worthington as Perseus. Sam Worthington hasn't let me down yet, to me he was the ONLY good thing about Terminator Salvation.

Liam Neeson as Zeus is a dream come true...kind of. Love the voice but the messy hair and beard is unnecessary. This may of course be the decision of the director but Laurence Olivier's hair/beard was perfect. Neeson's voice with Olivier's hair/beard is a perfect Zeus.

Now I am am not racist but Pegasus being done as a black stallion gets to me. In all the stories I've read and images I've seen in various Greek mythology books, and the original Clash of The Titans movie Pegasus is white. However though in the original story of Perseus, Pegasus spawns from the blood of Medusa and in Clash of The Titans the winged horse is born long before that as he was the last of Zeus's winged horses. So I'm not all that irked by a little interpretation.

Another gripe...Medusa! Medusa should not look hot! I should not want to look at her. But of course in the trailer she does not look all that bad. I mean besides the snake hair and snake-like body I'd hit it. She looked horrible in the original, the way it should be. I had nightmares about the Medusa in the original movie...I expect something equally as terrifying to children that will see the remake. If I had a bad dream about Medusa I'd walk around my own house as a kid with my eyes closed until I found my parents, and even then I'd keep them closed just in case. The new Medusa should instill that kind of fear, and I don't see it.

However the Kraken does look better with the remake. The Kraken in the original always gave me a "Creature From The Black Lagoon" vibe.
