Now first let me say one thing, I'm not a huge an of CoD. I play the games because most of the people I play with, play this game. Even my boyfriend plays it non-stop hours on end. So me bring a good sport I got a copy to play with everyone. Yes I know it's a cookie cutter shooter and everything else but this isn't about how CoD plays. It's more of a different matter.
Since my friends are always playing, I've invested my share of time and enjoyment in the emblem creator. Even more then playing the game, I dare say. Now being a creative person that doodles every now and again I tend to work really hard on my emblems so they look nice. Even my one friend spend a lot of time making emblems and trying to out-do each other. I love creative something everyone gets to see in the game and showing off things I like. I've made pokemon characters, soul eater, full metal alchemist, animal crossing, and other things I like turn into emblems.
Now today my friends and I were playing a few matches and one of our friends got disconnected. So we backed out to pick him up, yet when I looked threw the list for his name I noticed something odd. One of my friends had my emblem. Now I sent him an invite and talked to him asking why would he take my emblem, I wish he would have just asked. But his reply was, because I can. Which made me a little upset. Here I spent the time making this emblem and he took it in the matter of minutes, after I confronted him he took another one of my emblems changed the color of it and told me just to deal with it.
Sure I was mad at him and I still am but it got me thinking, what could I really do? How many other people has this effected? Why would they let this little glitch still happen? If they fix it will they delete the stolen emblems? Is this showing people it's ok to take other peoples hard work?
I know it might sounds weird but I would like get a little credit for making my unicorn farting rainbows emblem.
