Was anyone else really disappointed by the way the "terrorist" level restricted your movement? I wanted to be able to run out and gun all those civvies down, run ahead, get lots of kills etc...

But no, you're restricted by the movement of your compadres, it was as if Infinity Ward were afraid to give you too much freedom. I just think that with GTA letting us gun, run down and slaughter civvies to our hearts content, this was a bit tame, despite the "outrage".

Well, when I moved infront of the guys who were shooting with me, they shot at me so I automatically turned around and shot them so I had to start again:|

I think you may have confused "Modern Warfare 2" with "Postal 2". It's an easy mistake to make, after all they both have "2" in the name. But seriously, why did you want to go and murder civilians?

Its not COD4:MW2
Its just COD: MW2
and i really enjoyed the terrorist level. i have now played it a total of 37 times. I too was annoyed by the movement restrictions but you just need to compensate by using grenades and the grenade launcher. If you are fast enough, you can get your knife stuck into one or two of the civvies. I just wish it let you get to the balcony in time to shoot all those people on the ground floor, instead viktor (i think thats his name) just runs in ahead of you and guns them down before you can get there.

Nope it's modern warfare 2 that has the level as well.

To the rest of you, I find it really disturbing that you enjoy killing countless amounts of civilions enough to play it 37 times

I know what he's referring to, I just think he may have gone into the game with the wrong impression.

Why do people have no problem with mowing down innocents in a GTA game, but when its a level in a Cod game everyone goes batshit insane with the idea of being a souless prick?
Where did I say he was a "soulless prick"? I just implied that the OP may have misinterpreted what the scene was trying to show (note that I haven't yet played the game, so I may be incorrect in my assertion).

I was annoyed by it but mainly cause that level was a bit slow. But then I'm one to steamroll through games.

Because the way its done in COD MW2 is different, and its the objective of the mission, with GTA you don't have to kill innocents to beat the mission, and the way the two games are played with the killing are done differently, I still find both disturbing anyway.

Its just a damn game. So, there is no difference between this and the GTA series? I dont think so.

Because in GTA you play an "average Joe" while in the COD game you do it as a terrorist.
I'm not saying that's how it is but that's what i think makes ppl go "OMG".

I haven't played it yet, but if its anything like other games I'll be absolutely fine with it as I have this uncanny ability to separate real life from games.

Why did you want to "get some kills", there's no bonus to it, I just played through that level really, got pretty hard towards the end on veteran.

Actually, you're not a terrorist.

OK, so how do you feel about Fallout 3? I nuked (literally) a whole load of innocent civilians there. Because it was a mission. And it was also immensly fun.

I've seen it, I've played it, I'm about to play it again to get the damn Trophy 'cos the game bugged out on me. It's just a level on a game. It's also great stress relief seeing as I can't get online for some reason. Are the PS3 Modern Warfare 2 servers down?

@imahobbit4062:

Definatelly. It's just that the terrorist in MW2 is (i think) a foreing terrorist (like the tellibans maybe? xD)

And don't get me wrong,i'm not one of those who get shoecked with these things,i first played Mortal Kombat when i was 6 (or 7?i don't remember) years old,so,yeah. ;P
Don't make me remember of Carmageddon...! xD (those were the times...!)

I actually give the game props for that level. It's been a long time since a game shocked me like that.

And you can't compare it to GTA. The GTA bystanders were simple little hive minds. The bystanders in MW2 felt real, running and pleading for their lives, trying to drag themselves or other people out of harms way.

I think it's the most impressive part of the single-player.

People are people.
They all bleed the same anyway...
