Computer cannot connect to a network

It's suddenly cut out and cannot even see the network anymore. Nothing happens when a Ethernet cable is plugged in either. Help Please?

Reset network adapter. If that doesn't work, reset the router. If you're running a windows OS the network connection repair tool is actually quite good. Failing that, shout at the computer until it does what you want.

Also, check device manager and see if that's registering any hardware problems.
