Hi, I have been having some computer problems recently-which are only getting worse and worse. The problem is simple-my computer often suddenly freezes completely-it does not react to mouse or keyboard input and the only way I can get out of it is to manually shut down the computer by holding down the power button.

Initially the problem could be controlled-there was only a risk of it happening during the first ten minutes or so of run time. It also then seemed to happen with greater probability if I was surfing the web(even though I kept no statistics so this could just be how it felt like).

However it has gotten much worse now-now it occurs roughly 75% of the time within the first ten minutes. The freeze has even started occurring before I have even been able to log in. Moreover it can now also freeze after the computer has been running well for hours.

Other than that my computer runs well and I have not noticed any other problems-nor do I ever receive any error messages that can give any hint of what the problem is.

I have searched for viruses-found none, I have tried running the computer in safe mode(with networking)-still a risk of freezing). I have done a repair reinstall for my windows and updated my drivers yet nothing has solved the problem.

I am using Windows 7 professional edition(64 bit).
Intel core quad CPU Q8200
Nvidia Geforce Gt 120

If you feel you need additional information feel free to ask for it-you might also have to describe how I check that information :))

If anyone has any idea what the problem could be(and/or how to solve it)-or indeed any idea of a test that could determine the problem I would appreciate greatly if you could post here.
Thanks
