Well isn't this grand, not only am I up at this lovely hour for no real reason, but being the gamer that I am go, well, since I'm up I'll toss in a game...

2 hours later after beating some games in NCAA 10 Basketball and getting to the finals of the Big East tournament with my franchise team (Cincinnati Bear Cats, no I don't like them they were the best team on the "only team that offer you a job" option of franchise mode) when with 2.4 seconds on the clock game in hand the opposition (UConn in case you cared) calls a time out and my game freezes... Now the game auto saves so I have the data up until the finals but MY GOD did my cat jump as I slammed my fist down on the bed in anger.

So I ask you escapists, how often do games just freeze up for you? Mind this was on the XBOX 360, so feel free to put in console to console comparisons. Such as for me my XBOX will freeze up more than my PS3 which really only freezes when I have played far too many hours of oblivion in a row (Pimpiteer if you comment on how you've played 6 weeks straight I swear to god).

Anyways Fallout 3 froze a few times but that was to be expected.

When my connection fails in the middle of a Raid in WoW. Arghhhhh. Though I've not had an app crash in a long while. Used to happen so much on my old laptop with all of the Source Engine games. Stupid threading error or something. But as of late nothing.
EDIT: I find losing the game Due to being told amusing And I don't know if Many will get it. No matter It was funny and I Thank you for it.

What is this freezing you speak of? PC-games do not freeze, at least not when the install is done properly and you have not managed to infest it with viruses and trojans.

Then again, I tend to refuse to play games known to be buggy. KOTOR II was the only exception and even that one has no freezing/lockup/crashing problems without the variety of mods I install to restore content.

Was this the PC version? Or the original, rather than the GotY version? I had it for the Xbox 360, and I had the GOTY version, and it worked perfectly fine, never froze or glitched or anything (save for one glitch where I failed the final Thieves Guild quest and couldn't go back and do it again...).

Anyway, I had the original version of Riven a while ago (and if there's anyone here who played it and can tell me any info about it without using Google they'll get a cookie, as I really do think it's an underrated and awesome game). Whenever I was playing it and made it to the bit where you need to go to the different places in the village on Jungle Island, specifically when you're on the underwater carts to the rebel prison, the game would always, and I mean always, freeze first time dead in the middle between two stations. Ialways had to save right before that point and restart to carry it on. Bloody annoying, since it always happened in that one spot and nowhere else in the whole game...

Happened to me when fighting the last boss in Bayonetta... Had to fight the thing ALL OVER AGAIN! People who have taken on that last boss will know that that is hell, as it has 6 life-bars, can only attack it sometimes, and I was on Inifinite Climax Mode so I couldn't use Witch Time. Truly a hard boss made EVEN HARDER! I was just about to punch her in the face as well!

Calumon: When he did that he punched the wall... his hand is still sore from that, and I prepared the Band-Aid!
